mabye over time, the good factories will fix problems like this

Ya, and hope they don't just include extra pins lol

Wow, I still can't believe they gave extra pins. I mean, it's nice they did, but it just raises the eyebrow for me.

i have friends who type like that all the time, i've just eventually adapted to it after giving up on trying to fix them.

if you wanna fix it, try getting a spell checker for your browser. I know there's add-ons for IE7 and Firefox. I use a mac and spell checker is always on for everything. Gets kinda annoying sometimes, but it helps.

Bocks are aluminum.  Aluminum swiftly reacts with air, forming a thin layer of very hard aluminum oxide, which prevents it from any further corrosion from anything.  They don't rust.  I have walked through some pretty deep, murky puddles on mine and they have taken no damage.
Not all the parts of the stilts are Alumium... The screws and some more parts are metal and they do rust I can tell.

Too bad you can't replace the parts that can rust with ones that won't. Then again, it's not everyday you jump into a pool with your bocks on.  Tongue

If you let us know where/who you bought it from, then we can know to be careful when buying from them.

if you are still looking by now, Fox Racing sells two sets of knee/shin guards, one for $15 and other for $20. The two are almost exactly alike except the $20 version is ventilated and looks more comfortable. (and it looks better made too) They look a lot like Pit Dirt guards and you can get them in the US. Here's some links:

fyi, if you ask them to put the fragile sticker on your bag, just keep in mind that its just a pretty sticker they put on it and they MIGHT treat your bag with care. It's more of a peace of mind for the customer haha. Just make sure they put your flight sticker on the bag also lol (long story.... Cheesy)
28  Purchasing Powerisers / Where to Buy / Re: bock seller on Craigslist on: March 25, 2008, 11:34:58 PM
I checked the oregon craigslist pages and magically found a pair in oregon coast section for $210. Luckily for me, I'm over at the coast this weekend + a few days and so it worked out perfectly. The ad says they are brand new in box Powerisers PR7090. I talked to the guy selling them and he said he received them as a gift with the receipt and just never had time to use them and lost interest. He says he's had them for about 2 months, so I figure I'm paying $70 less than the lowest online store and just losing 2 months of warranty.

Ok, I have had enough of criagslist scams and flakey-ness and being impatient on eBay. I need to start bocking! So, I broke down and decided to just buy a pair off of coolthingstoride.com for $280. This way, I get the full year warranty and get to pick out exactly what weight category I want and everything. (I weigh about 77kg so I went with the PR90120)

I know I know! I should have listened to the forum in the first place. Please forgive me? Grin

Ok, so here's what's happened.

I emailed the first craigslist page and all the guy offers is PoweriZers and so I decided to stay away from that one. The second craigslist page never emailed me back.

I checked the oregon craigslist pages and magically found a pair in oregon coast section for $210. Luckily for me, I'm over at the coast this weekend + a few days and so it worked out perfectly. Only thing that really sucks right now is that is planning to rain this WHOLE WEEK in oregon, both the coast and the valley. So, even if I get them tomorrow, I wouldn't able to use them for a while. SAD!! Sad

Ya, I've been looking at official dealers and I found a good pair of Powerisers for $280. But....I don't know. I'm just afraid that money is going to get tight for me this term.

I've been talking to my pops about getting a pair and he is really skeptical about me getting these. (We're really close.) He's scared that I'm wasting my money and that I'm going to really hurt myself.

I know it's my money, but he is also paying for my college right now.

I don't know. I'm in this bind where I really want to buy a pair and have fun, yet I don't want to pay much and still have my dad respect my decisions.
