Everything Else / General Talk / Re: Watermark in the Gallery

Yes, and also you can be as famoas as the asian guy in yellow hair with way to short pants
Who was first (as far as I know) on the PoweriSer adverts and then "stolen" by the Chinese many times. I think the watermark is no bad idea. But imho it makes only sense in the middle of the picture (otherwise this part is simply cut off). But maybe even watermarks do not help. I have seen pictures from 7league WITH a watermark in the Flyjumper manual (seriously no joke !!!) Optional watermark would be a compromise, maybe. Or if anyone wants to show a picture without a mark he/she could post a link where the picture can be found. Is it possible to set up a kind of FTP server on PoweriserPages.com where the the full image (w/o watermark) can be hosted. just my 2cents

Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: New Model - JollyJumper (Former Upwings)

Interesting ideas, I don't now if there is already a working prototype but at least some criticised weak-points of the Up-Wing are redesigned. I always like new ideas and developmens. Let us hope that the new model (if ever actually released) is designed and produced better than the first attempt. Let us see if the Chinese are able to learn from their mistakes (fingers crossed )

Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: Swebounce S Rex EVO test results

Thanks to Mattias for his independent opinion. Makes me happy that others have similar experience with the S-Rex. As I also said: I think S-Rex and Powerskip are fairly equal, but S-Rex for half the price. Good to know.. Mattias is someone we can trust for sure. I really want to order some s rex springs but there is some problems with that, 7's don't make any delivery out of England, and a privet delivery with a friend cost the same price like the springs... Why ordering form UK??? You are in a non patent-protected country. Simply order from Austria (As many did already). So... who's willing to ship me a set?! :-)
You can now legally order them from US. (And as far as I know you already had an offer)

But if i get the S-Rex i am faced with R vs X.... Is the X substantially harder? Do the foot plate's differ? Would a X be too much for me who is without any experience?
Second, I live in California and quickly discovered the 7Leagues don't really exist in the states, so I am wondering if there are alternative methods available that would allow me have them shipped from an individual?
Yes the X is substantially harder, the rest is the same, I would not recommend the X with your weight. Concerning availability, you would have to order them directly from producer since there are no vendors in US at the moment see also http://www.PoweriserPages.com/forum/import_taxes-t4140.0.html

but on the plus side you will find that you get alot more height with less effort with these springs!
Yes that's true, I like the character also, the energy exploitation is better than with fibre glass. And a 89 is defenitely closer to a 90 than to a 80

Is the spring itself black or only the protection? If the spring itself is black then it should be a carbon spring which is stiffer than a fibre glass. 89 would mean the kilograms they are recommended for. there is a table in German which refers to the Carbon springs (in Germany sometimes called Panther) see http://www.speedjumper.de/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=570(translation: the white column is your weight, the blue fields are the recommended springs in your case 89 is closest to 90, the headings show the skills 1) jogging only 2) beginner 3) jumping only and intermediate 4) pro) [I hope your carbons last, sometimes there are troubles in durability eg. http://www.PoweriserPages.com/forum/warranty_for_springs-t4264.0.html]

I can fell with you I was very nervous also when I made my first flips. I had not broken my bone before though so it must have been even worse in your case.

Powerising / Problems / Re: warranty for springs??????
|
on: March 31, 2008, 08:23:52 AM

I don't know the laws in Austria, Martin, but such an excuse would not work in U.S. courts. If the seller tells the buyer that the springs have a warranty and then does not deliver on that warranty, a court would rule against them.
We have similar laws in Austria. I was not talking about the legal situation (where it is obvious that the springs fall under warranty). I was just speculating about the reluctance of the seller to replace the springs (which might tell us something either about the seller or the producer). By the way, this site still uses stolen images, I'd say very trustworthy. @zerocool do you have a written confirmation about the warranty promise or did all happen per phone? However this site seems to be operated from abroad, so it might be difficult to grasp them. AND I do not think they have the permission to sell to a patent protected country, the next break of a law. (Everyone is welcome to correct me if my speculations are wrong, I do not want to create flase rumors).

well, has this happened to anyone else?
Yes this happens frequently, I assume you are talking about the "MB" springs like stated in your profile. MBs are carbon springs (the spring itself is black). Unfortunately there are several reports of broken springs in this forum and also in german forums. Mine broke after a couple of weeks. Others' within 5 minutes. Some where lucky and got carbon springs which lasted longer. Search the forum you will find many topics. I am personnally not curious about the sellers name. It could also be that the producer (Flyjumper China) had to much warranty cases and is either not willing or not capable to deliver replacements. Maybe it is not the sellers fault. (but this is just a guess). Still this does not help you.
