and the 7league boots bushings must not be oiled, sprayed, vaselined or the like at all. They have a grease layer which would be damaged with any other grease. (read the manual !!!)
Mine don't Maybe because they're a year old though I do not think so, this feature was included in the first bulk when 7s where released the first time. So every 7s should have them (these copper bushings). see e.g. http://www.jump-to-be.com/index.php?id=116&L=1quote: "Normal bearings must be serviced and oiled - not the bearings of the 7leagueboots! Glide into a oilfree future with the 7leagueboots!" or http://www.jump-to-be.com/index.php?id=39&L=1quote: "... Also a special coated and service free glide bearing for more bounce ..." But I heard that some manuals did not include this info. So ask your local dealer to be sure.

u need oil thats wot lol
You don't oil bocks... you dont? No. You lubricate them with something like Silicon spray or copper grease or vaseline (recommended by powerskip), but not oil. This is due to the fact it's very runny, makes a hell of a mess and sprays everywhere as soon as you start bouncing. If you look at the photos of me at CB07 repairing ET's bocks you can see how much of a mess they (and my hands) were due to the fact they had been oiled. and the 7league boots bushings must not be oiled, sprayed, vaselined or the like at all. They have a grease layer which would be damaged with any other grease. (read the manual !!!)

keep practicing. most important rule: do not bend your knees, kepp your legs streched, only when the springs are at max compression bend knees slightly and give a push. but in the air (going up and down) do not bend. this exercise usually helps a lot.

FYI
Accordiing to an announcement in a German forum this stilt will be preseted to the public on the 22nd of May 2008 in Germany.
The name of the stilt will be "Olympic" in Germany and is supposed to be different (in some parts) from the pictures shown here. And the German vendor Speedjumper is known to refine/"pimp" the origin product so there might be some enhancements.

I understand and I fully agree, supposedly (I have not tried the latest ones) they changed and improved the mixture (less breakings). But imho the character and weight categories have not been changed. But I might be wrong, maybe pro-jump can tell us more.

i think they'll be fine, martin that chart is a year old, the carbon springs have changed significantly since then.
Are you sure? in Germany they are sold a lot and I have not heard that they changed character/ stiffness, where did you get this info and what changed? To my knowledge every carbon spring is tested in China for the category and the weight category is then written on the little square at the bottom end of the spring (eg. 89 which means 89kg).

i disagree martin, i'd hoped they were but i can't tell a diff
Well, imho you need two pairs of stilts with different springs and change them during the day to identify the difference. Otherwise you get used/ adapted to the "new" character and it is difficult to "recall" the difference. At least that is how I do it. Sometimes I even have one brand on the right foot and another brand on the left foot to feel the difference. For my weight (73kg) it is rather easy to bottom out the PR90/120 and the R type but it is a pain in the a** to bottom out the X type. I feel I get higher with the X type. But it i have seen heavier people on X type and it seems that the addidional weight might absorb some of the difference. By the way also the PR90/120 and the R type S-Rex have imho a distinctive different character. S-Rex is softer at the beginning (a disadvantage for really heavy people) and harder at bootom out than PR90/120. I hate the hard bottom out clash with the PR. In the middle PR is stiffer than S-Rex R type, which is good but the beginning of the spring travel I do not like. PR90/120 expands faster after compsession (what I really like) than the S-Rex, due to that tricks are easier with the PR. I feel (have not measured though) it is less strenuous to get higher wich S-Rex. Timing is easier wich S-Rex R type. At least these are my observations with 73kg.

by the way: The 7league S-Rex type X is not any stronger than any other 90-120 spring.
this is imho wrong, i have tested the latest PR90/120 the S-Rex R and X type, belive me there is a difference. the X type S-Rex is deffo harder/ than the others.

I like Dome’s ambitions very much. I keep the fingers crossed that he will be able to launch the mysteries.
I do not want to break all your enthusiasm, sorry to say that but such springs already existed. I know prototypes which had a fantastic character.
Why these springs have not been launched so far? Pretty simple: So far they were not able to ensure consistent quality and a reasonable price in mass production. During long term tests durability (re breakings) always turned out to be a problem and the fluctuation range concerning character was too big.
There is always a trade-off between dynamics (=character/ energy exploitation) and durability. E.g. the S-Rex is (unfortunately) a compromise between character and durability. Both are an improvement compared to other models but character wise they could have been even better. But no one is willing to pay for springs which might break early like e.g. too many carbon-springs did in the past.
I am curious if (and how) Dome will be able to handle this trade-off and how long it might take. I would like to have these springs in my hand as soon as they hold a while. I suspect that it is still a long way to go, maybe I am too pessimistic. Dome, I whish you all the best and that you will succeed soon. Keep us informed.
