Purchasing Powerisers / Where to Buy / Re: Portuguese buyer!!!

one note: the pictures on the site are pretty old, Poweriser has impoved their stilts a lot. I recommend that you ensure that you get the latest Powerisers like shown under www.powerisers.de (they have better bindings, better bearings, better screws compared to the 2005 modell), do not by leftovers

sorry to sound like a teacher, if you are interested in the "right" technique look at the professional trampoline athletes, they have kind of rules how to do it right (good style gives you more points in a competition). And not only that it looks good it actually works very good. Unfortunately there are several different possible moves and my trampoline guide is in German so it would be too much to post it here, I recommend to look in an English trampoline training guide. vids you can find at http://www.tfcg.at/video/trampvideo/trampvideo.html

Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: New brand on the market

I've been looking round the flyinglocust website, and i've seen both "flyingjumper", "flyjumper" and "flyinglocust" mentioned. The images present different versions of the product, it's a bit confusing... They've got photos of what look to be flyjumpers, poweriSers (yes, they're still using the original korean photos), and also powerskip pros! Here's some images from the site Ripped straight from the korean site...New bindings on kid's models?Powerskip ProsSo... what the hell are they selling?! And the last three pictures (currently) shown under their link pictures are made by the Future Tech Company showing their promotion team on Powerisers. I guess these pics were "taken" from the ww.7meilenstiefel.com page.

Purchasing Powerisers / Where to Buy / Re: Ordering 7meilenstiefel (7 league boots)

However, these countries still cannot legally sell/ship the product to other countries such as the U.S. or the U.K. where the patent is in force ... I think it works this way: The countries where the patent is not in affect (i.e. places like China) can legally sell/ship the product wherever they want, but people WITHIN the countries where the patent is in affect CANNOT resell them. In other words, I live in the USA and I could purchase the product from the manufacturer in China. However, if I went to sell the same item in the USA (or any of the patent countries) then I would be in violation of the patent and thus liable. Sorry, but no the Chinese manufacturer is NOT entitled to sell/ship them to the US since this is in fact a selling within the US (unless they have the permission from the patent holder). The other question is do they get caught, since if the US reseller publishes the offer to sell it is more likely that he is noticed by the public and therefore also by the patent holder. But again already the first step (shipping to US, UK, Germany etc.) is violation.

@lux Great to hear the news that competition is picking up and also other brands are trying to enhance their products, where did you get this news from? I am always interested in such developments. Do you know any details on the new developments, I am curious, please let us know. I am waiting for the 3rd generation of stilts. happy bouncing PS: Just one comment. NO Chinese company has patent rights on the stilts. Patent holder is ALAN (PowerSkip) in Germnay. Every legal vendor has to pay ALAN (but the patent is not valid worldwide so e.g. in China everyone can sell them). Anyone in Asia can produce them, no patent required for that. And Chinese companies usually do not care about patent rights anyway. I am personally convinced that the Austrian brand is not a relabeling (with same parts) of the other brands. It might even be that they are assambled in the same factory, that I do not know, but definitely with other parts. I have tried Poweriser, Flyjumper, Speedjumper, Powerskip and 7meilenstiefel (who else did?). But of course that is only my personal opinion and for sure I can be mistaken, if anyone has other experience please let me know (I would love to test other equipment) since I am only looking for good quality I do not care about the brand. Speedjumper is also an interesting brand since they refine the stilts in Germany (bearings etc.) but they are only sold in Germany as far as I know (see www.speedjumper.de).

@aussie
You want to have an opinion of a 7meilenstiefel user, here you are:
Future Tech is an Austrian company. The stilts where developed in Austria. The production itself is in Asia as far as I know but it is supervised by Future Tech. Meaning that they have full control over the production. It is like with many other quality products you can buy (computers, cars, sports equipment) most of them are actually assembled in a low cost country. All other brands just copied Powerskips (with low quality parts). Future Tech is really investing in development. They have around 4 years of stilts experience since they sold Powerisers before, but since they got a lot of complaints they started to develop their own product (I was one of the heaviest complainers). It is the 2nd generation of stilts so to say.
In my opinion they are not compareable with Poweriser/ Powerizer and Flyjumper. They use more sustainable aluminium and plastics. Rubber on foot-pad is more sustainable. They are very very very quiet (compared to all other models). Spring is way better (that is IMHO the most important argument), I own also Powerskip springs and they are fairly equal. Maintenance-free bearings are used. Binding is not very special (similar to the others). The spring protection is thick enough you do not need additional protection. Knee support part is similar to the other brands, what I personally do not like since they are way to wide for me. Most nuts are self-locking but still it is required to retightening some off them from time to time. Price is a third of a Powerskip, equal to the Asian brands.
I hope that helps
Martin
PS: I like Future Tech because it is the only company I know which really tries to enhance the stilts significantly and that is good for the sport as a whole. I even would not bet any more that Powerskips are better than 7meilenstiefel (concerning frame and springs), but I have not tested the Powerskip frame personally, so do not quote me on that.
