46  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: does anyone knows any wholesalers of stilts in europe on: August 20, 2008, 12:46:17 AM
There are actually not that many and most that are dont actually hold any stock but just process the orders and get the stilts sent direct from the distributor to the customer.

In the uk the main ones are the 2 7 leagues dealers, projump, the powerizer/strider network and the stores that deal with powerisers.

You're going to open a shop but you cant work a caps lock key and cant find a wholesaler without asking on a forum?

50  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: stilts wholesaler on: August 19, 2008, 10:53:45 PM
the only wholesaler in europe is 7 leagues in germany.

There are plenty of distributors though but they are no wholesalers.
Other than that, you need to look east to korea or china.
51  Everything Else / General Talk / Re: Capital Bocking Cardiff - Photos and video links on: August 19, 2008, 10:09:37 PM
info@welshbockers.com is the best one to use as it has a lot of space (googlemail) just dont send emails larger than 100mb or your own email server might poo itself.

ditt  oh.
53  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: stilts wholesaler on: August 19, 2008, 05:06:52 PM
Good luck with that.

Your only real option in the uk is to become a dealer for powerstrider (google for elron enterprise) or poweriser.

ok I'll raise my ideas on radiobock on saturday and it can be discussed during the show (chatroom/email/skype) and then we can go from there.

Lukey is spot on, the requirements are more important to get right before even thinking of a location.
55  Everything Else / General Talk / Re: CB 2009 on: August 19, 2008, 12:10:39 AM
ok ok like i said early discussion is pointless.

Everyone have a think about it and if you have a good suggestion for next years location then please bring it to the chatroom with some supporting evidence eg, vids or pics of people bocking in the suggested areas or just the areas without bockers.

Remember it HAS to be somewhere that we wont cause a problem and get moved on and I really think moving from place to place (within the same town) is not really an option any more.
56  Everything Else / General Talk / CB 2009 on: August 18, 2008, 10:29:59 PM
Already there is talk about next years and even before leaving cardiff several people have told me they want it in cardiff again next year, though without the rain and without mikeyb  Shocked

Anyway I have a few ideas, regardless of the location and to be honest I dont think a forum thread is really going to get the job done as it will just get twisted and off topic and we wont get a good end result.

So I propose, those who want to come and put some input or suggestions in, then we all arrange a good day and time where we can all meet up in the chatroom and throw ideas around. I know it might get a bit hectic but at least then we can take the final ideas and see what we all think will work best.

How does that sound?
57  Everything Else / General Talk / Special thanks.... on: August 18, 2008, 10:03:17 PM
I wont deny that CB was very chaotic for myself and sprog and especially for becky but hey that kinda goes with out voluntary jobs. However there are a few people who, I'm not sure how to say explain this properly but they do more than help out and without these people, the big meet ups would be rather shambolic. Massive thanks to you guys, I love you all more than all the sheep in wales!

Janelle & Muncher - Not only did you pick up signal pad from heathrow and drive him down but you guys were total life savers at the campsite and at the bay. It's people like you that make me love this community.

Dark Knight - much love to you Andy, hopefully you'll know why.

Lukey - For being Lukey and for driving the essex bus (along with Gymo I think!)

Pinhead and Ricc - Great bunch of guys but also have their eye on the ball.

Flybaby - for playing taxi to various people and especially for driving Team USA down from london.

Jeeves for helping out just about everywhere lol.

Zeb - it's not often the welshies stand there with their jaws wide open including jono. A true inspiration mate and it would have been so easy for you to not bother but we're all so glad you did.

It's a shame the weather wasnt blue skies but sunday was a great day and an absolute pleasure to have you all in Cardiff
I'll have something to announce very soon about Capital Bocking 2009 which will involve as many of you as you like.
58  Powerising / UK / Re: Capita Bocking Aftermath on: August 18, 2008, 01:09:25 PM
I dont really have time to post much at the moment but I will later tonight.

I think what I'd like to do is grab a copy of everyones photos and videos, compress them as much as I can and them make them available as a torrent to download so everyone who wants a copy can then get access to them all from one place. How does that sound to you lot?

I managed to take 2 photos all weekend and no video so dont expect much from me. I know DK has video and Ricky35 but I dont know about anyone else.

The photos we have from the weekend so far (from bobman, sprog, becky and flybaby) currently come to 11GB in size uncompressed so there is a fair whack.

If anyone has a photo of the 08 we did in the basin, please please do not post this anywhere without a watermark for CB because its such a good marketing photo, people will use it as their own.
