this is the injured brother replying... fun with all the attetion lol. as for pains... the most painful thing about this is that i cant go outside bocking in the nice weather. also the the knee bar got bent so the bocks are uselesss until i get new pair. il also post the x rays when i get em... the doc told me she had never seen anything like my arms... bots fractures where practically identical, and she had never even heard of anything like that. lol

hope to be bocking again so i can go to the whole capital bocking meet. c as

4  Powerising / Continental Europe / bocking in oslo, just a thought? on: May 14, 2008, 01:10:19 AM
I was wondering if there was an interest in coming to norway for a meet? there are a bunch of great locations in oslo for bocking (a rly good one for a meet would be the park as shown on the picture i posted).  Bocking is rly dead in norway and Im really keen on doing something social out of bocking, so if there was some interest in coming for a weekend to oslo at some point for a meet, i think that would be a great way to promot this wonderful sport here, as well as be rly fun and a good experience for everybody involved.  as long as people dont mind camping it would be quite cheap (altho goin out for a beer in Oslo is quite expensive)

So if i were to take initiative and try and organize something for (maybe next summer as im sure its too late to start planning for one this summer, as im sure most of you have plans) would there be a possibility of luring some of you Islanders (people in UK) and some of you swedes over to Norway for a weekend of bocking?

6  Powerising / Videos / Re: How I learned about bocking... on: May 10, 2008, 12:03:26 AM
There's two the one next to camera and the one in the other side of road in black with white dots.

wow... DK is wrong, theres at least three! right before the end u can see someone comin w same outfit as black w whie spots only w that turqoise or w/e its called color, if u listen closely u can even hear the distinct bock sound when he walks as well as tell from the way his walkin that its bocks

if they broke he'd know it straight away... A twist more like can sometimes not be painful straight away because your running off your adrenaline still.. i know because i severely twisted my ankle once and it didnt hurt at first but i knew id done something that night when i was Crying in agony Tongue

This is wrong, if the fracture to the bone is even and neat and nothing gets pushed out of place you dont need to feel any pain at all for quite some time, (know this from my own experience, have had quite a lot of fractured bones, only time i felt something straight away was when i crushed a bone in my foot).  his breaks are neat and small and nothing was pushed out of place, hence only 3 weeks to recover. its not a bad break by any standards but its quite funny and a bit tragic that it happened. this also means he cant do his last 3 exams and have to redo 3 of his classes next year ^^
9  Powerising / Injuries / Re: Both elbows broken on: May 09, 2008, 12:44:04 PM
he fell forward, and his elbows didnt even touch the ground, the fall itself was not painfull int he least and afterwards he carried the bocks allt he way home without complaint. he put his arms out w them bendt at the elbow, my theory is that they fractured cus his elbows were at a funny angle and the impact pluss his weight was too much for the bone...

if we didnt make this into something funny it wud be god damn depressing! lol
11  Powerising / Injuries / Both elbows broken on: May 08, 2008, 11:48:59 PM
YES you heard right! my dear brother was WALKING on his bocks, and for some reason we dont know he lost balance, and due to the engles of his arms when he hit the ground he broke both his elbows, and are now immobalized for 3 weeks.  he cant even pull his pants down to take a piss without help.  So for future notice to the rest of you, keep in mind that when u fall, dont hit the ground w ur hands first w bendt elbows or u might just be as unlucky as him! luckily it didnt hurt when it happened and the fractures to his bone are small and clean so it will take only 3 weeks to heal.  so low momentum does not mean ur guaranteed not getting any worse than a bruise! One good thing came out of this, a male nurse that took an interest in how he managed to break both his elbows took an interest in bocking and has agreed to meet us at a park to have a go (hopefully we will get a new bocker in norway out of this!!) and the doctor was amazed as it was the first time she had heard of (or seen) two identical fractures on both elbows/arms.  we had a lot of laughs about this and i rubbed it in that he must be the first person in history to break both arms WALKING on bocks, then he reminded me whos gonna be his nurse for three weeks ^^

anyways he took it like  a man (up the bum) and we had a blast in the hospital waiting room!! got a few little kids to not feel so bad about their cuts and bruises and have a mighty good laugh at his situation.  remembers, always find the good in any situation! Smiley
12  Powerising / Modifying Powerisers / What is the best hoof protector? on: May 07, 2008, 01:01:06 PM
Im getting my PR90120 this weekend or early next week, so what is the best material to use for hoofies? i can get a hold of used drifting tires as a mate of a mate is a drifter and goes through like 20 pairs of tires a year Wink  the drifting tires are softer than normal tires, but would it be suited for a hoofy since its used so badly they wont hold a car? (yes i know bocks aint cars), but wud they be good enough?
13  Everything Else / General Talk / Re: websites on: May 06, 2008, 02:44:50 PM
wow, you ran all them sites? ive been to most of em and liked every one, first off, good job on them! second, no wonder u cant sustain them if ur paying for them all...

What you should have done is put up a paypal donation button on each site (if there was one i missed it on the sites i was on) id have donated for that cause now but i have to pay for 3x bocks pads helmets and poweriser traveling bags this month so thats close to a grand this month alone (live in norway things are more expensive here, but we earn more so it evens itself out ^^)
14  Everything Else / General Talk / Re: stole my pic on: May 06, 2008, 08:30:36 AM
come to think of it thats kinda funny, some italian girl using your picture as a visual representation of bocking (as thats what shis talkin about, i think?!) means u did something right Cool
15  Everything Else / General Talk / Re: Finally someone to bock with! on: May 05, 2008, 08:56:57 PM
Nah rather my achievements, bocking needs more publicity in norway, almost nobody doin it here :S
