There is a 2nd video of the hanging that is online. I found it on the front page of ebaumsworld. The video was supposedly taken with a camera phone. It shows the drop and at the end, a view of the body, swinging on the rope.
The rope was long enough where his neck must have broken. The basic functions of breathing and our heart beating are not controlled by the brain, but by the upper part of the spine where the skull and neck meet. A break here stops the heart and lungs and brain death occurs in minutes.
If the rope had been shorter, he would have strangled and you would have seen the body twitching.
Sorry to get all medical on you, but maybe this will help explain it. Personally, I would rather have the longer rope, death is quick.

I'm on a few other forums that have a few boards assigned to each mod. On 1 forum, the mods have a section that can be read by all, but only the mods can post. Every time they delete a thread they explain why (example: spamming is not welcome). If the thread is locked, they do the same as I've seen on here and tell why within the thread. Deleted posts are usually explained in the moderator boards. And finally, modified posts are usually in both locations (if done for profane language, a small **modified for profane language** is added to the bottom of the post...If the person has been warned multiple times, the mods sometimes discuss their punishment.
Honestly, the only punishment I've seen is either blocking them from posting for x number of days, or their posts have to be reviewed before they will be visible to everyone else (that one's from a board with 11 sections of the forum, each has usually 2 mods, and over 6,000 registered users)

Everything Else / General Talk / Spammers...what to do?

I personally think that if you are trying to get more hits on a website that is beneficial to powerising, that's fine. But I think anyone who spams for drugs should be blocked. I know of at least 3 in the past month or 2, wanting to advertise some prescription. In order to keep this website as great (or even better) as it is, we need to do something.
What do you guys/gals think?
Matt and Dom....any ideas on how we can help keep the spam under control?

That pic is actually from a transit authority training drill. I played a victim, I was sitting right beside the bus about halfway back when that explosive was set off.
The fire I was hurt on, there are no pics of...to my knowledge anyways. When we got onscene, the entire living room was nothing but flames. The roof had burned through leaving a 15x10 opening for the flames to climb through.
I not only deleted the person's comment, but I changed my settings so the comments have to be approved before they show.

Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: Fly Jumper

I have both powerizers (from superdairyboy) and fly jumpers. I personally prefer the flyjumps. Same reasons as listed, quieter (and I don't lube them as often), they are cheaper, although the springs are initially more flexible- they are harder to break in/they still are very strong.....both sets of are the same weight class and have very few differences in build.

riser-rookie...it was a joke, that's why I put the faces after it...I've been making fun of myself for it. I was injured in a fire at work, I have to wear a brace on my arm for a few weeks. I'm more upset about having to use a couple of sick days while my paperwork goes through.
Dan, my only reason for posting here was to see if this person was on the boards. It now seems to me that you are making a bigger deal of it than I would care to. I know this is the internet, I also know people are jerks, be reminded that the ignorance and stupidity of people is my job security. Because of this, I deal with some of the worst. All I wanted was to see if this person was on here, I had faith that he wasn't, everyone on here seems as nice as can be. I just wanted the confirmation.
In lieu of locking this, I say if there's anything else we take it to PM.

I don't have a problem with feedback, I do however have a problem with arrogance, and that's how his comment came across to me. A bit of a "you suck, I can do this on them" type attitude. When I made that video, I'd only logged 2 hours on them....maybe. I think I did good for the time I'd been on them, it just happened to take 3 days to cool down enough where I could go outside and mess around. Where I'm at, it's very humid and the temperature routinely hits the 90's during the month I received my stilts. I doubt anyone could nearly max the stilts out on the first day, unless they were way too heavy for the springs. (and riser-rookie...watch it with that gimp word, I'm stuck wearing a brace for 3-9 weeks )

Yeah, I sent him a message saying that if he didn't have anything nice to say, don't say anything. And that he ought to load a video since he's so good We shall see what happens next.

Just curious if this person was on the boards. He left what I consider a very rude comment on one of my youtube videos. "That was bad. I can't believe it's day 3. I was better than that on day 1. Day 3 I can jump about 4-5 feet high and run with huge leaps." I'm thinking I'd rather have no comments, than 1 like this.
