Yeah, I did that a bit when I was changing the hoof on one and it was out of action for a bit. It definetly broke the spring in a bit, cos next time i was on both, that one was going down futher lol. Thanks peeps, keep the ideas coming! Convert all your CD to MP3's, I'd need at least 3 months to do that !
done that already lol Sit on the forum and answer everyones topics. You can still excersie your upper body ( people in wheel chair excersie ) beside you'll be told to do some form of excersie on your legs ? i'll have to do press ups and stuff. Yeah there will be lots of work to get the strength back Can anyone think of any super mods to do?

Everything Else / General Talk / Things to do when you can't bock

Hey everybody! I'm going in for surgery on my left knee on the 15th September , which means I won't be able to walk for 2-6weeks, and bocking will probably be longer. Now I know that's gonna make me pretty nuts not being able to run/jump around or anything, so has anyone got any ideas of things to do to prevent the onset of insanity from not excersising or alternative forms of excercise or just any crazy 4ss sh1t so i won't be so bored? Many thanks all!

(except my feet point outwards rather than inwards). Basically when standing up with my knees pointing forwards my feet stick out at "10-to-2" and making both my feet point forwards can be painful (or just impossible) because then my knees are pointing inwards.
Do you have any pain walking up stairs? I have had for a long time and I wear insoles in my shoes so that my knees are straighter (even when bocking). Try standing up with your feet shoulder width apart and raising the arch of your foot to see if it pushes your knees outwards - that's what my insoles do... I'm now finally going in for Tibial tuberosity transfer (moving some bone) in a couple of weeks. i think bill c may know more?

Yeah believe it or not the hockey tape is actually tougher than you might think. It goes pretty hard after a while too. I wrapped my Poweriser Springs in a couple of old inner tubes and then taped with hockey tape. Find the hockey tape suppliers on the forum, i think i got mine from 'demon xtreme sports' in the uk for about £20 i think...

Powerising / Injuries / Re: Chest Pain

Ive recently been experiencing pains while on my bocks, been bocking for 3 weeks now and pretty much almost everyday. It started back Wednesday when I tried to jump higher and suddenly, I felt really winded.
Getting winded *ahem* so isn't that just stitch - i.e. where you're not getting enough air so should stop for a bit? It sounds like you have a bit of muscular pain too? An i got that sharp pain in my right side while bocking today - only when jumping. I figured it was stitch so i stopped a bit and it goes away. I figure it'll go away once my body is a bit more used to it (have been off the bocks for a while )

Powerising / Problems / Re: Problems with my poweriser 08!

OK, so in the process of changing the hooves over to 7's hooves (my poweriser hooves were showing metal O_o), i changed the bushings (number 2 in this pic) to the split ring things (i will post a pic at some point). I had to get my stepdad to unbend the frame around that part because it'd bent inwards on the poweirser bushings (and mashed the end of the bushings). There was much less movement immediately after the change, although after using it a bit, some movement has crept back in, noticably at the other bearings ( 1 in the picture, and at the top of the spring), so I'll have to try changing them all when I get the parts from 7's to do the other hoof (yep, one 7 hoof, one poweriser with superglued bike tire mod, it's good on the grass with one foot and off the grass with the other lol). i'll post back when i have some more news.

oh and run up or at least a few steps before you do a bounce with both feet. Plus i find its easier if you've been on them for about 15minutes.
