NEVER try to STAND UP a skill in a loose foam pit. (not sure about with Boks on) The packed down foam in the bottom is uneven. You can easily break of foot, twist and ankle etc.  What you do is right as your feet are entering the foam's top  you sit to prevent your legs from needling right to the bottom.

Also NEVER EVER land on your stomach in a pit.  Your stomach area will sink while thighs and chest stay at the top forcing you into a hyper arch.  Same with landing on your side.  Both can cause sever spine injury. 

Never DIVE into a pit. You can easily break your neck.

So technically all of those of us who went to bradford and team 101's gym should all be disabled or dead

Thats what I was thinking, I myself am alive and have the full use of all my limbs. I have landed on my stomach ( I am not advocating this though, it hurts like hell) and on my side. I have even stood up several times in the foam pit all this without any injury.....

They didnt get them too long before the mardi gras so i dont think they could get much practise in.

It dont take much practice to be able to walk, I asked one guy what stilts they were and he said skyrunners....I didn't take a a close look myself..... it was loads of fun!! The 30th Mardi gras was great!!!! I got a press pass so was able to get up close on the parade and take pictures. There were some bockers in the parade, not at all friendly mind you. That was a bit surprising but them having Skyrunners wasn't. They also needed supports, which they said was just part of the costume but I am guessing its coz they was crap bockers....

This was such an awesome day out last summer, we had heaps of fun in the sun and helped a very worthwhile charity too. For those of you who feel like a challenge then I suggest doing this, its a lot harder than it sounds.....but the pimms makes it very worthwhile. I wish i was able to do it again. If there are enough bockers that take part you may well be able to get your own starting schedule and would probably make the news as well.

Apparently they are quite common over here but I have not felt one............ yet!

I am not sure there is any real need for a site dedicated to NZ bockers...... Aotearoa is quite devoid of them, nice site though but as Rich said people will get pissed off with pics being used without permission. If you havent already asked pm them asking if they mind them being used on the site.
