Powerising / Injuries / Re: Falling & Getting Hurt

I find that when i stretch a bit, and then bound around a bit at a slow pace, i'm able to bounce higher and dash about longer.
I've only fallen twice.
Once was on sand, and i landed on my butt, and elbow pads.
Thankfully the elbow pads broke the ENTIRE fall... and i got up without a scratch.
However, the first time was when i first got them... and stuck my foot into a pothole. I landed on my knees, tore the knee padding, and mis-aligned the entire top assembly. I ripped my pants, and cut my knee pretty badly... and bled everywhere.
It surprisingly didnt hurt much at all. It was totally worth it.
I've been staying in control and just pushing myself a little at a time lately to learn my limits.

Powerising / Practising / Bounding and Jumping further

What techniques do you find yourselves doing to jump further?
Last night, i went across the street to my old high school parking lot, and bounded back and forth until i was VERY tired. What a great workout, with the night being the perfect temperature to bound back and forth in, without getting too hot from the sun.
The street lights provide more than enough illumination for me to bounce without fear of falling or tripping over anything, such as myself.
I can easily clear a parking spot side to side, per bound. It's such a great feeling.
As soon as this school semester ends, i'll be taking my runs again after work. 3-4 afternoons a week. This should improve my endurance a bit.

Agreed. In all seriousness we have to maintain a professional nature of behavior, or else one person can ruin it for dozens of others... in which case, Matt does have the ability to ban a user from the forum.

Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: weight

Hmm....
If you were able to double up on the springs, not one on top of the other, but side by side... it'd give you the proper resistance to support your weight. This would require custom machining, and modification of the mounting plates.

I highly reccomend that you get ahold of the following to learn with.
Kneepads. Elbow Pads. Padded Shorts. A helmet. BMX Gloves, or equivalant.
Any combination that suits you best, is what I reccomend.
Some people prefer to have wrist guards. I personally have had a very bad experience with them. (Snap a pair, and you'll see what I mean)
Just make sure you lift up your feet further than you think you should, and you'll be okay. That was my biggest mistake. I was running on them, and stuck my foot into a crack in the cement and down i went, because i didnt lift my foot high enough.

sounds like a bad idea to me too. I'm going to avoid that like the plague.
Pick one or the other!
two things that are great, are not greater when combined.
Like: Lemonade and Milk
They both have thier own appeal, but i'm not going to combine the two for fear of what would come of it.

Powerising / Modifying Powerisers / Re: Knee Support Mod

Do me a favor please bill? two minor edits... "The final product is a secure and easily adjustable knee strap for your riser. At this point, you can cut off the factory velcro knee strap or just tie it up as a backup strap if needed." to The final product replaces the need to use an additional strap to "Tie" your knee in place. The factory velcro strap also provides additional upper support, while the new strap assembly comfortably rests against the calf of your leg. and replace "Matt, Centereach NY" with Matt, New York, USA please. I don't feel comfortable having my hometown listed there. Thanks Bill! And PS: Great job! and NICE blank index

Heh, next you'll tell me that you want snow-shoe adapters to bock in the snow, inflated air apparatus attachment so that you can walk on water, and rocket attachment so that you can bounce in the sky!

I can only imagine what breaking your legs in these things would be like.
I can only imagine what the doctors would say, and i can only imagine how the ambulance drivers would react to removing them from your leg.
I can picture them taking some sort of pneumatic saw and cutting them off of your legs.
I'd probally cry, and tell them that i'll remove them from my legs myself, albeit a little painfully!
