How high were you going between those images? Also it looks like you are leaning really far forward.

I was leaning VERY far forward.  The rubber track offers excelent grip, I was wearing full arm and knee padding, and heavy duty BMX gloves.  It made me very un-afraid to fall.  I was probally barely bouncing at all, i was full out sprinting in the two images that i've posted so far.

I did about 20 runs back and forth along that strip that you see.  (about 200m)

I'll post up some tonight of me bouncing and bounding across that strip.  It was more about getting exercise than bouncing high.  I tend to do one or the other, while I work on my different muscle groups.

When I bounce forward, I can't go 5 feet (1.6m)... i do about 2-3feet (.6-1m) in height.

Tonight, i'll post some height shots from that same photoshoot.

That gives me a closer time frame, of what to expect from my springs... except it took me a month to consistently bottom out my springs. Smiley

Let me know how your order goes for poweriser.info

I have yet to hear if anyone has ordered anything from them, and what their experience was.
513  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: Why, why did u buy them? on: May 22, 2006, 12:15:22 AM
Because it isnt football, soccer, baseball, or tennis!

Smiley

You don't see these ever, where I live... so I wanted them.  Partly to be different, mostly because they looked like a BLAST.

Cool photo matt! Did you take frames from a video to do that?

Actually, i photoshopped several photos together, off of a tripod.

I went all the way around the track, that is not a problem for me. I just cant run fast yet, I feel like I am going to fall on my face, like I am getting ahead of myself. I think I just need more time. Its also wierd that my foot comes out so far from the end of the foot rest, I have size 13 feet, I wish the foot plate was longer, I may add to it? Hey Dom, How long are your strides? Would be cool to see a vid of you running fast so we could learn, hint Wink

Lol, i can do a parking space and a half, (side to side) at full out sprint. (9-10 feet)  I'll try to convince my girlfriend to shoot some photos tomorrow evening.  Takes a few strides to get up to that.  My acceleration and de-acceleration are the problem.... takes much longer to get up to speed, and back down from speed than on foot.  I'm sure i can go all the way around, just not at full out sprint.  It quickly depletes my energy.  I easily go thru 16-32 ounces of liquid in an hour, on these things...

I really feel like i'm flying, when i do sprint though.  Know how it feels when the wind whips past your face, on a motorcycle?  That's the feeling.  I'm not quite sure how fast i'm moving, but it's substantially faster than I can run.

Smiley yeah, it's much softer there.  I really bounced easily.  Careful on the fences barbarian!  My hooves were level with the 4 ish foot fence... Smiley it's great.

Just, make sure not to anger anyone... or interfere with people using the track.  I can't wait to go back a few days later, and "race" the runners! Smiley

I didn't run all the way around the track, i just did sprints back and forth up the long section you see me on.... Maybe tomorrow, i'll do a full 1/4.

Its nice being able to move so fast!

Track is great...

More to come.

This is a rough edit, i'll have a whole bunch more to play with soon!

Have you done it yet dominion?

I'd really like to be able to long-distance-bock, and use the Powerisers as a proper means of transport as well as something to muck around on sometimes.

Well, I just ordered a 2nd pair, so that I can bock with a friend.  I'll then be bouncing around in more populated areas, and popular towns on the island.

As far as the track goes, it's been raining just about every day here.  I've been able to bounce twice this past week, because of this.

So, i'm seeing that it is sunny out today.  I'm going to attempt to give it a go today.
521  Everything Else / Powerising Stories / Re: Audience on: May 20, 2006, 02:59:58 AM
lol if you think bocking attracts unwanted attention you should dye your hair

trust me, even when im bocking people say, dude why the green hair?... im serious.
Haha, that'd never fly.  I have to maintain a professional apperance and attire.

I wear a tie, doc martens, and tailored pants to work.  I'd get fired over green hair.
522  Powerising / Where to Powerise / Re: Oval 1/4 Mile Rubber Track on: May 19, 2006, 10:16:05 PM
In high school i ran in the low 50's. I know you're suppost to be able to run 20 miles an hour in risers, but i cant imagine bein able to run under 60 in the 1/4 with them on.

I did track for one season, but i was primarily a distance runner, so i estimated my time.  By the end of the summer, i don't see why I won't be able to run a 60 second mile on the risers on the rubberized track.

Granted, this is just speculation... but we shall see! Smiley

awesome, i can't wait to see what you have in store.

I'm curious to see if it's similar to my original design that i've intended.
525  Powerising / Modifying Powerisers / Re: Knee Support Mod on: May 19, 2006, 08:06:47 PM
well ive come up with an idea that may or may not, ive been to the hardware store to look at some material, so all i need to do is make some final measurements, then go shopping.

ill keep ya updated, on progress.

BTW, would you guys like pics incase this idea works?

ALWAYS!! Smiley Pictures tell a thousand words.  Do you want to elaborate on your idea here?  I'd like to get a visual of what exactly you are planning on doing.  I might be able to offer you some input.
