61  Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: I bought my powerstrider from the factory,I want to know if it's good or bad? on: June 22, 2008, 04:37:27 PM
ROFL,
it's soooo obvious, that PoweriZers and Powerstriders are the same (changed) brand.....
But one more time it's obvous to me as well, that mostly people which even don't see the obvious things in life, are claiming that crap stilts would be fine.....
Why people without any basics do feel allways the need to claim about things...?!

Haha,
it never happens to me, to met any unfriendly authority dudes and I think it’s better to not mess around with me. Personal right’s and liberty is shorten up already more than enough, so this could be e very sensible subject to me.
But once at one of our meeting, we have been bouncing for something like an hour on a nice place, when suddenly someone came to send us away. But the point of this has been, that beneath this place has been a cinema and so the audience of them felt disturbed by the sound of our stilts. Nothing less we have been asked very polite to go bouncing somewhere else and seen the facts there has been no trouble with that. But I did real wondering about, that it took that long until someone appeared.
So if there are real good reasons I don’t have any trouble to be sent away, but I think it goes to far to ban people of public places. As long as there is no damned good reason to talk about disturbing, I would not accept to be banned. So I don’t have any trouble as well to go into a shop on my stilts, to buy a drink or even a shirt. And till today this has never been any trouble to myself, even at shops with a guard at the entry.

Lol,
PoweriZer are not much differnet in thier may of making business, for what reason do you think they call themself poweriZer?!.....
And everybody who's gona buy Skyrunners, is supporting tehm by doing so.
Talking about patent fees, you can bet onj it, they will make it somehow more expensive, but they're not that hughe, to make the difference in price. The cash one makes with licences is mostly due to the mass and not based upon some single fees they get. We're talking about stilts and not about a Space shuttle. ;-)
Further more ther is a tool company called Eheim, they're copying the design of each and every good quaility tool. And i do know as well people who're claiming these Eheim tools as beeing great quality......
There are allways people who're declaring the last forgotten crap as good......
And further more it's like sSprog wrote above, the difference of quality can not be seen by new users, if they don't get any well founded technical backgrounds. And just to have a look at a picture, it's almost impossible for a newbie to see that difference.
Have fun, jump high.

lol,
as an end user I would not care much about patenting issues, that might be right. But as kind od an educated customer, I do make my own thoughts about, if I'm gona buy something of a certain amount. So I'm asking myself each time, what the minimum price of the basic materials would be, I'm considering as well, that not only the producer and the retailer need to take on it, but I'm considering as well the transporting freights and such. That way I'm checking out if it ever could be possible that the thing I want would be made of good quality.
That much about a simple calculation that tells me allready: Skyrunners can't be something else than crap.
But apart of these simply technical aspects, I get moral reasons as well, why i never would support a Company like the one selling the skyrunners. But seen most of people doesn't seem to care much about acting rsponsable as customer, i don't see much sense to talk as well about my moral reasons I get to be against Skyrunners.

Hi Locky,
When I'm comparing the springs with some PS520's, these mystery's don't give much more height at bouncing in a same way. But The less more height I get with the mystery's, I get it first with a more powerfull feeling, if you understand what I would like to say by this. Second I do feel much more stable on the mystery's. Third at bottoming them out the feeling is completely different. The movement doesn't colapse completely, like other springs does.
But as ElectricStapler wrote, i would like to see someone with less weight on them as well. The trouble about is as i told, my girls son did hurt his back. (Who's telling me stilts are dangerous..... Cleaning work can be dangerous as well, but no one is talking about ;-) ) And only now the patent has been deposed, I can go for other people to check them out.

And sorry Locky, it's my place you would have to come, to check them out. Just give us some more time to be ready, so you would be able to check out different weight classes as well.

Hi Athoul,
to be honest as well, I couldn't neighter, but I know, few persons are quiet good in that. And after having watched the video of Phillz, I became more able to see things from a video. If I compare the spring behavior of Phillz video, with the ones from my mystery's I do see quiet a difference of behavior. But nothing less ther will still be people who're able to see much more out of a video, that I can do by myself.
So the video isn't real made for people like us two, but for all the others who gets an eye for such. And for all the others it's just waiting, come over when we're ready or check them out, if some friend is gona buy them. And there I bet you will not see, but feel the difference. Smiley

Hello bouncers,
It’s almost one night long, I did try to upload the newest mystery video to youtube, but this without succeeding. Youtube did hang up the uploading process every time and so I did go to upload it to my own server. For everyone who would like to have a look at it, you can find it under this url: http://www.jumperdome.ch/videos/mysteryv4_v2_1.mp4

Normally these pairs of mystery’s should be tried out by the son of my girlfriend, who gets the right weight for them. But he did hurt his back at cleaning works, so he hasn’t been able to go for a bounce on them. Now I’m much to heavy for these springs, but nothing less I wanted to take the chance of finally having a few hours without rain.
So you can see their behavior if completely overcharged and still showing their power. And what I had to find out at this pair, basically much to soft for my weight: For running they’re just dangerously powerful. My first running step I made with them, made me almost fall down, seen I never expected that power I received back.

Ok. finally youtube slicked my video:

Rofl, you're a funny one Phillz,
"finally some progress....." is kind of amusing me I have to say. This for the reason that you don't have any reason to complain, seen you're doing quiet good, for the short time you're on stilts now. And considering the fact that you have crapy stilts, you're doing good twice. ;-)

Hey Jump up,
I don't like to say so, seen I real don't like the label owner of the 7's, but at this time the springs of the 7's seems to be better than the actual poweriser springs. On the other hand the frame of the Powerisers is considered actually to be much more better than the one of the 7's. So your intentions doesn't make any sense to me.
Some Poweriser retailers may hate me now for this posting. But honesty is my basic capital and there for i will not change my my way to do business. Rather to admitt things the way they are and get credibillity later on when things are changing. Both serious working stilt producer company's (Powerskip excluded) are working permanently on new improvemets and even the chinese manufactureres seems to change slowly. (At least if we're talking about quality) So there will be allways the one or the other, with it's nose in front, talking about the one or other part on the stilts. And actually there isn't any stilt, that I could consider as the only one and best choice, seen on all of them are still lot's of improvements to be done.
Powerisers and 7's, both of them are the ones within I would make my choice at this moment, but none of them I would consider as the better one. I just don't like the Austrian dude who's standing behind the 7's and so I made the choice to deal with Powerisers.

70  Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: Help Ordering A Perfect Spring In The USA on: June 10, 2008, 02:47:13 PM
Hi bouncing people,
just to clear up something about these so called cf springs:
I didn't brought them to a laboratory to check them out, this is not exactly right. But I brought one of these so called cf springs to spezailists in  cf and they told me that there is no carbon in these springs. What is used in these springs is so called black glass which is mostly used to make look things like they would be made out of carbon. But on the other hand black glass is slightly stronger than gf and these springs seems to be an improvement vs the old springs commming from that factory. They are much better than the real bad springs made by this manufacturer before, so if they're cf or not, it is a step forward. What i do'nt like about is just to sell something by giving wrong informations about to the public, as well as to the retailers. And it is comming from the manufacturer, that these springs sre sold as cf springs, not from the retailers!
But further more one of the main reasons, why the mystery springs will be that expensive are trhe materials used on them. Contrary to gf springs does real influence the possible most low price at which they can be sold afterwards. So everybody who can count should be able to see by himself, that it is impossible to offer real cf springs at such a price. There are huge differences in fibres and resign as well and that doesn't change just because it would be bought in china.
Talking about weight reduction that would be probably much more comfortable and ease to ware. But no one would make higher jumps, just due to the spring weight. The things that will make one bounce higher are still the technique of the bouncer and the dynamic behavior of the springs.

If you want the best one can get,  I think you have to wait, until the mystery's are ready to be sold, what will take some more time. But don't ask me now when this will be, seen I can't give any date at this time. All I can and will do until then is to keep you informed about the progress of the mystery's and this is done at the posting "perfect springs your thought's about".

Hi Phillz,
My posting hasn’t been directed specially against you, nothing less I do think well done for it’s face, if someone is bored after bought cheapo crap.
Why I feel considered about, I can give you an example:
Some time ago we had all over Switzerland shops with De Walt tools, that have been of real great quality, for a reasonable price. Then a label called Eheim pushed out the De Walt tools of almost each shop within Switzerland. Now all the shops are offering this Eheim tools which are cheaper than cheap, but made out of the most miserable quality. And De Walt tools are still of decent, but not anymore of that excellent quality they have been once.
The same kind of story is happening with almost everything made on this planet and there comes the point of why I do feel concerned about. Things that are happening actually only can happens due to the fact, that more and more people are fixed just on the price, by loosing the quality aspects completely out of sight.
I might be a dick if people who bought cheap crap are asking for help afterwards. But nothing less you did well to not felt attacked about my words, that have been written more for all the cheapo buyers, than specially for you.
Further more there is not one single label, that I do consider as real good made. All of them get their pro’s and contra’s, but most of them are just cheapo crap. I do dislike 7’s for absolute personal reasons that have nothing to do with the stilts. But I rather like to see someone buying the 7’s, than to go for crap. So Go for PoweriSer or 7’s and you would get at least something decent.
And talking about the plastic bearings: Powerskip which are still considered as the best stilts, they also get plastic bearings. But their plastic is specially made for such goals and of another quality, then the one of the flyjumpers, skyrunners and other cheap brands.
But my suggestion to not spend anymore cash on something that isn't worth to do so has been absolutely serios. Go for Poweriser or go for 7's, both of them have their pro's and contra's, but with both of them it's possible to get lots of fun without beeing permanently pissed off or deceived. With no bad feelings:

Hi Sprog,
1. talking about idiots has been your choice of words and not mines!
2. As I wrote there are so much warnings about the Flyjumpers, skyrunners, etc., that i can't feel any pitty with people who're ignoring them.
3. I do love that sport and to support company's like skyrunners is bad for our sport.

So I don't feel sorry in any kind to be a dick, if people find out after buy, why there are that much warnings about them on several forums. Further more I know what it means to have no money, I even lived under a bridge once in my yought. But even by living under a bridge, I wouldn't have bought me some cheapo crap, seen I don't like that mentality of rip offs and useless polution. Claiming to have no money but  to go then and spend the cash for something that can be thrown on the garbage short after been bought..... Sorry but this doesn't make any sense to me, seen that less cash i have, more I would take care about how to spend it. So to get something decent is in fact the only valid suggestion in my eyes, or do you consider it as smart to spend more and more money for something that isn't worth to spend more cash in it?!

Yes I might have been rude, but i do consider it as rude as well, to support that buy cheap crap mentality which is turning it more and more against us. So I have no troubles to be rude as well to the supporters of that mentality. Producers doe produce what is asked most, if cheap cheap cheap is the most asked , so cheap cheap will be made. But cheap cheap doesn't go together with quality, so the idea of quality is disapearing more and more and personlly I'm damned pissed of about that.

i think there have been enough warnings about flyjumpers, so if you ignored them, don't wonder now. Buy some decent pairs of stilts is the only suggestion I would give you.....

74  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: Not a noob, but I have a noob question on: June 02, 2008, 04:30:18 AM
Hi Frank,
yes these chinese stilts are crap, but things can change. At this moment I still do consider them as crap, but nothing less, there are some chinese springs with better behavior than the Powerisers. So a bouncing friend of me is doing so as well on the Poweriser frame with a chinese spring in it. I don't know under which label this so called carbon springs are sold within the UK or US, but in Germany they're sold as Panther springs. The first few generations of them had real serious breaking troubles and have been the worst crap as well. Meanwhile it seems that they managed to make them stronger and better in behaviour.
And comming to the changeable foot rubbers, it would be a great thing, if they would been well made. But seen they're not, I do consider them as real crap.

Hope this informations have been helpfull to you.

Hi Frank,
My mature language isn’t English, but I did understood right away the sentence that has been meant at your posting in question. I wouldn’t have come to the idea of discrimination in no sense, while reading it. And to take this the way I took it has not only to do with dab understanding of a language, but first I think it has to do that I do rather take care about the point in question, than to pick out some single words for detouring the sense they have been used for. So who would have more reason to apologize: The one who’s trying to make things understandable the easy way, or the ones who are turning good attentions into bad feelings for no good reason?
Sorry Frank but now I disagree with you, I would not have made any apologizes in that situation. Rather I would expect that people who’re piling on Frank would switch back a gear. And no Bill, political correctness has not been taken a little too seriously in a lot of cases, but it’s taken MUCH too seriously! It starts to be absolutely overdone, to become a cliché and therefore it even goes against the sense it’s originally meant for. Humanity just should learn to work after their own little egos and the world would be much more peaceful.

Sorry for deriving it one more time, but piling on someone on forums, with not having a very very very good founded reason it sucks. And piling on someone who’s intentions have been good, sucks twice. That’s kind of thing I real don’t like, so I had to howl about one more time.

Have fun, jump high, don’t let you guide by misunderstandings says Dome
