1  Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: new springs or new bocks help on: May 13, 2008, 07:57:41 PM
Hey you two,
that thread is real funny, seen that lots of time users consider me as the mean poweriser dealer who just would care about selling it's own label. This for the reason that I'm allways clear in advising people to not go for cheapo stuff. But one more time your troubles show me, that I have done well to go for Powerisers and not for cheapo crap.
So my advice to you would be one more time, go for a decent lable such as Poweriser or 7's right away, seen it doesn't make any sense to me, to go on upgrading toys that aren't worth to be upgraded. All beginners I only can advice to try out first and then to go for a decent label.
No need to go right from the start for Skips, even if I did so for myself. But good stilts are real different from cheapo stuff that would never been able to satisfy.

Hi dudes,
Today we have been out for bouncing and we first did go to the sports place, to make some jumping stuff on flat ground. Then we crossed the city by having a little fun with the obstacles and stairs we met. At the last stairs place I started to be that tired, that it became impossible to me to bounce anymore. My legs felt like rubber sticks and I had no more power to handle the forces at coming back on the ground. We all have been very tired at this moment and so we toke the walk to meet the driver waiting in a coffee house. On the way there has been another place with 3 coffee houses next door to each other and with lots of people staring at us. So I toke the chance to give some flyers away and thought that I should make at least some jumps to let people have a look. But I better would not have done this….. one single jump. A second time up in the air and booom a big landing on my ass…. So the whole crowd passed over to almost standing ovations. Sad
God luck for me, that I don’t care to much for such, but some of the customers I thought I waked up some interest in stilts, they could think now as well about falling. So I have been bored somehow and I real have to hold back in the future, when I’m feeling the fatique.

Yes,
they're quiet thin and even if the next edition will become a little thicker, they still would stay thinner than gf springs.

I did not try them out yet, seen I had to try out first the last pair of them. They have not been that satisfying, seen they're like the PS 640's but don't bring the power desired, when just bouncing by the own body weight. By pushing them harder they get more Power than Skips, but this is not our goal. We're looking for springs with a soft, but allready powerful start, thus a kind of bahvior that the PS springs gets.

Yeah,
they're still not the ones we're looking for, but the point of changing behavior is already solved and the next improved pair of mystery springs is already in work.

Next type should be the way we want them about behavior and breaking issues. So if that would work out like we do expect, there would just be some extra safety improvements to add, before the mystery’s finally would be ready to be sold.
That much to keep you up to date about the progressing of the mystery springs.

Hi zipp,
the point is not to be for, or against diagrams. The question is just, that it's not the goal to create a diagram, of which allready several such does exist. But the goal is to declare the parts by a identifying name, so that new users would be able to explain their eventual troubles more ease to other users.
So diagrams could be a good base as a kind of klick to go guide, if they're done well. To give you an example of it: Your diagram is well done, but the bushings at the point you declared as footplate elbow aren't visible on the diagram. So of non visible parts it would be good to make part diagrams out of another perspective, which shows these hidden (due to drawing perspectives of the entire diagram) parts.
That way we could start at the top of the thread with the diagram and part diagrams, where the parts are definde as you did on your second picture. By clicking on them, the frame would scroll down, to the chosen part and there are photos of these parts from different labels, as well as some basic informations about these parts.

That's the rough way of my idea, about what I thought to make together with your help.

Hey bouncing dudes,
The basic idea hasn’t been outgoing from diagrams, but has been based upon a simple listing of pictures of all parts, by declaring a name for each single part. This as a base for bloody beginners like we all have been once, so that everybody would speak about the same things and so the understanding could be more simple.
Diagrams I do understand in that sense as a helpful thing for the goal, but for the setup of the part list, I rather would handle the diagram as a part as well. (A part of the user manual)
Further more on diagrams most small parts are not that visible and mostly not named as well. So the whole posting now will probably become something quiet messy, that would be transformed afterwards into something well structured. One closed thread with only one posting in it, just made as basic information.
So for now, let’s go the mess to get on, to collect as much material as possible to make something handy out of it.

The following bushings originaly have been used on Powerisers sold end of 2006 and beginning 2007.

These bushings are the ones used on Powerskips. They seems to be the same as the Poweriser ones, but first they're made by a different material and the border of them is thinner, than the one of the Powerisers.

Hi bouncing friends,
Seen the Olympic games are not far away anymore, my spring maker is quiet busy with works for these. But nothing less the mystery springs are forwarding again and the upcoming Monday, the next improved mystery spring prototype goes on his way to my place.
Further more I hopefully do progress as well with the testing device and a hydraulic pump for that one is in sight as well:

All the sensor devices are already checked and would be ordered next week and so all that’s left about would be things like the device frame and some little spare parts. About this I will take care within the next week and so we’re not that far away anymore, to be able to work by dynamic tests. The only thing that I do consider as real boring is the space, that testing device would ask again. Space starts to be something more and more rare at our place and I would not be surprised, if the electricity company would ask me later on, what we would use for that amount of energy ….  Wink  Sad

Hey martin,
very nice and objective posting of you, thanks! It does not reflect any thing like breaking enthusiasm, but is just your own opinion about, that seems to be build upon some quiet founded basic knowledge.
So let me tell you, that I’m only that optimistic about, for the reason that the persons who take care about the mystery's wouldn't did solve such troubles already once. Otherwise I never would mentioned what I’m busy with, seen it’s real a damned hard goal to attempt. But I have to let you know, that we’re realistic thinking people that are looking for goals that can be attempted. So we never thought to be able to offer such springs for cheap prices or produce them in mass production. There would be no mass production and / or price reductions, seen the basic materials are to expensive and the production process is much to complicated to be produced in mass. And in fact the price is the biggest challenge of all, seen we want to keep that one within a range that would make it possible to get mystery’s for everybody. Otherwise I think we would be very much further than we are actually at this time.
Talking about time it is like you wrote a big task, that could not be accomplished within no time and it will not be within the next few weeks, that mystery’s would be available. And we don’t get the financial possibility’s to build a testing device of the kind like I would consider as perfect. We would talk about investments of half a million to go for it with such a device and this is far away out of our possibility’s as well as seen the fact, that we would be limited in production with the mystery’s. We don’t have the cash to buy such a device and specially rent a building for it to make running that bitch which would consume 48kwh electricity….
So we have to go with more simple testing devices that would need much more time as well, to go for dynamic tests. Seen you’re well informed I see no need to explain you any more and you will understand by yourself, that much longer development times would result out of this. But on the other hand the people busy with theses springs are real running hot, they’re forwarding real very fast and so we would be able to compensate some (little) development time by this.
But yesterday the engineer has passed the half day by checking out the next improvements with us. So the third improved pair of them is already in it’s head and has to be made now by the spring maker. Hopefully I will get them soon to check out, but the pair of first edition more stiffer I even did not test myself, seen the work of the last time made me look and feel like a zombie. And it’s not considered as wise to get on stilts if body and spirit are to tired.
For now I need some relax to get new energy for work and bounce again and then I do need some practicing on stilts as well, after this long winter break.

YEEEAAAAHHHH DK,
GO FOR IT!
It's a great idea of you to build your own frame made for your weight and as i told, we will absolutely support you by making springs of your weight range. We just do need to go for some more improvements and tests with the mysterys, to make them as save and reliable as we want them. And by the way i think it's real great, that you don't give up due to your body weight, but that you're just looking for solutions and go for them.

Hi bouncing dudes,
It’s great weather outside and today I have an appointment with the engineer who will bring me a second pair of mystery’s. They’re build the same way as the first ones, but a little stiffer. Seen the people who makes them are that quick in forwarding things, they have been already made, before the first pair has been tested. And seen the first pair has been that nice before breaking, we want to check out the behavior of this stiffer pair to get more information’s about behavior out of them. So this Saturday will be one more time having fun with mystery prototype’s. But the best of all has been the news, that the first pair of the second, modified prototype is already tempered. So it would not take a lot of time, till we would be able to enjoy the fun with the next improved prototype of mystery’s. They’re build up in a different way so that they can bench more and would support better the push , without breaking therefore. Anyway, as soon as we will get these, you would be informed about the forwarding about the mystery’s and for today it’s first having some fun, with what we got. And for now just one more thing that has been real amazing:
Yesterday we have been two persons out on PS 640’s and we both didn’t bounce during these cold times for more than 3 or 4 times. We both had tried out the first mystery’s just for one or two short moments and. And both of us did miss that soft and powerful behavior at our little fun on stilts we did go for yesterday. If the physical condition isn’t there much more, you feel it twice, when you need much more power, to get power back from your springs. So our impatience for the final series of mystery’s is growing more and more.

LOL,
I did start with it at 45 and the oldest owner I know is 73 years old!
And even just to walk arround on stilts is more fun, than running from A to B, like you called it. This at least is my humble poinion about which propably most of the users here arround would share.

Hello Casey,
it's right, PoweriZers did just abuse of the label PoweriSer, so why do you think they did so.......?!
If you don't get much money, then the skips would propably be to expensive for you, so I would advice you to go for PoweriSers or 7's. Just take care about to not get old stock stuff, seen there are some people arround as well, who're trying to get rid of their old stocks. But if you get a more or less recent type of one of those, you would be on the good side to be glad with.
And seen I'm a PoweriSer dealer, naturaly I would tend to Poweriser, seen the service and spare parts service is good working at PoweriSer as well. And inf ever you get some big cash to spend on stilts later on, so you still could add the mystery springs to your bouncers.
