For someone new to the sport Pro-jumpers would be a good starting point.
They are perfectly good  for most people and are well within your price range has I'd also buy elbow knee and wrist pads too.
You could order them all from Pro-jumpers for a total cost about £165. 
Order monday morning and you may have them midweek 

You don't say where you are but CB in Wales in a couple of weeks, maybe £35 would cover travel costs ?
If you can make it there you'll love it, doesn't matter if your not very good we'll help you

I may sound like plugging a brand but for a price of under £200 these mean they can buy safety pads which for a newbie is a good idea !?
If their price range was £300 then maybe I'd say 7's ( which are a better build ? ). At £200 Pro-Jumps is my best advice !?
