1  Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: Biggest on: Today at 01:43:38 AM
700pounds from Projump for full stilts, they can prolly get springs from them too
They'll do for me  Smiley
I've got one bill to sort out but should have them before CB  Cool
2  Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: Biggest on: Today at 12:46:26 AM
I also am a big boy with muscular legs, I'm 100kg.
Powerskip 720's are the biggest springs I have tried out.  S Rex Type X are too soft for us bigger boys, they seem to work fine for lighter people like SoulRancher and Kiola, who are both 14stone or below.
Although if you do buy Powerskips the knee bars will be too small for you.

I hope this info helps.
Where can I order and how much are they !?
3  Everything Else / General Talk / Re: Amputee Allowed to Compete on: Yesterday at 09:23:54 PM
I can run reasonably fast on Bocks but if i was entering a 200 metre race i would be much quicker on my legs. Most Bockers that i've seen that can sprint on stilts are quicker running normally over any distance. I've never seen anyone move particulary fast on Bocks who isn't already very fit. My opinion for what its worth Wink
Hiya I'm DK you've never seen me I'm 42, 17 stone with a buggered ankle and plan the run a marathon next year  Cool
4  Everything Else / General Talk / Re: Amputee Allowed to Compete on: Yesterday at 08:38:34 PM
Kender, i cant realy see people going to that xtreme mate,

I don't expect anyone on PPages to do that, nor any of my friends.

but to think it wouldn't happen at all?  I wouldn't go that far.
People already take drugs if an amputee use aids like these it's the next step.
Thing is their thinking of allowing it !

By the way I had a real bad motorbike smash and nearly lost my foot I have smashed bones, musscles, tendions ( you name it I had it ) I now have arthritis in the anlke joint. I walk with a limp ( which I can hide well ) but I find running very hard but you could never tell this when I'm bocking .
Right I'll race you on my bocks and you with your two good legs !?

Point being is I couldn't race anyone without bocks on but is is fair for me to allowed to race you running !?

5  Powerising / UK / Re: capital bocking????? on: Yesterday at 07:18:21 PM
I'm a driver and a Tigger. I live the other side of England to Wales in Boston.
I'm still making my own plan but a number of people have asked about a lift  Shocked

What is needed a a topic to match drives with people who'd like a lift Maybe a drive could post their plans and people could see if they can find someone. Once their sortted their reply could be removed  Smiley
6  Everything Else / General Talk / Re: Amputee Allowed to Compete on: Yesterday at 05:41:07 PM
Is this what could happen next
I'm writing this just before I go for my op.
I'm not the fastest running in my club but want to get to the Olymipics.
After watching last years Olympics and seeing how much spring help I thought that's the way to go.
So I hope to see you in three years time in London

Sorry I can't see how anyone can say it's fair !
How fast can YOU run on your Bocks !?
7  Everything Else / General Talk / Re: Anyone panic buying carrots? on: May 15, 2008, 06:34:07 AM
Sounds like a big waste of money, seeing as how many of those carrots will go to waste.

10  Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: Biggest on: May 14, 2008, 07:12:49 PM
Yep, I think its fair to say that a good years use and Im sure you have no complaints on that score DK.

But yeah  go for the heaviest springs. I know Colin ( tundrah) can Bottom out X types. But I dont know  ( re trips coment of posting a vid) if he has a more 'xtreme' style compared to you.

Re proskips they are expensive , and lets say 'delicate' and I wouldnt want to just put them on your frame.

How much of a hurr are you in. More and more peeps are getting both types of S Rex. If ou meet 1 at a meet Imsure they would let you try um.

sadly , whilst Ill be seeing you at walk for life and have a pair of X type in post, as they are a kilo heavier I think Im just gonna do it on my T -rexs
The pair of 110's I have are a year old and you'll see bend a lot even walking. Don't think I'll be doing too much other than a bit of sprinting I've got plans for after Wink
11  Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: Biggest on: May 14, 2008, 07:04:38 PM
Yes, as R springs are softer than X springs. Get the stronger, stiffer ones... Type X.

after bocking for about 3 miles I could bottom out with a 2 -3 foot bounce !?
I can bottom mine out on the 3rd or 4th jump with no warm up (and mine are a year old). So you're not bottoming out badly DK.
Once the cars fixed I'll send off for X's
12  Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: Biggest on: May 14, 2008, 08:06:25 AM
I'm thinking of S Rex X has the weights more than he R's but I'm more into running the flipping !?

So would S Rex X still the better option than the R

Last year you got t-shirt and you said they may give us one !?
I was just looking at the Home page and there's this !?  Shocked

So you just need one for afterwards  Smiley
14  Powerising / Meet Ups / Re: Capital Bocking website on: May 12, 2008, 10:47:56 PM
Im not sure whether CIN made it into the Book of records, but i know they did in germany recently.
We have to beat it so all bockers, in the UK at least, should participate! If you dont come i will have to eat you, my ancestors are cannibals, so i wont find it hard to cook and eat people if im needed to! No excuses please or i will be eating bockers for the rest of the year. jelly x
You'll not eat me !?
I'm a bit of a clown so I taste funny LOL
15  Powerising / UK / Re: 'Walk for Life' Potters Fields Park, June 1st 2008 on: May 12, 2008, 09:59:37 PM
Last year we finished about 3.30, but then we went to pizza hut and went to a few pubs afterwards. Who you asking out DK?? Anyone we know? jelly x
I've got a date ( well meeting up ) but got to book something !?
So if we finish 4ish and then go to pizza ( Deep pan ) you'd would be heading to the pub about 5ish !?
So I'd be leaving you before 6 ( I'm driving home so I'm not drinking ) !?
That's about right for timing ?
