hmm, i don't reckon so, as the energy from the springs is transfered in the direction your legs point, when you take off for a flip, if they are vertical, that'll be maximum lift, if you just run really fast into it, your legs will probably rotate too quickly at take-off, thus reducing the amount of vertical lift, i'm not expert, just on every flip video i've seen, not many people purposefully take a massive run-up, and those that do are most probably going into a barani then a long stream of backs etc. ...just stating some observations my physics mind made edit:why can't i learn to put a huge physics rant in one line like you tom?

lol nice way of putting it, i see it as getting payed for time that i could've been working in a pub or the like, so it's not really free, and i've had to use it all on travel to and from college all year, so in reality i've only really got a few hundreds worth in bonuses for spending, and i sat through 3 years of college, so i deserve free monies

...you don't need speed, just height...well for the way most people do them, though i spose runnign as fast as you can then letting yourself flip would work, even if it is a tad dangerous.
...and PLI is probably a goo idea, but only if you're seriously performing to the public, for most of us out for a gentle bock with a few bakscratchers etc, just be careful of the public, and don't try anything in a large crowd unless they've made space for you
...and beware of small kiddies lol

hehe *is also waiting on the ema bonus* i spose it's not that bad of a deal, though they are crap at organisation, and there's the like 2 week delay from going to college and getting paid, which sucks for starts of terms...though it does mean i have enough to order some 7's feet now

oh goody, i thought for a minute you were on about the normal 7's springs, and it should be fine for me, seeing as i'm now very used to my very comfortable bocks, i'd probably prefer them atm than with calf cuffs etc. ...just the springs/feet are a tad screwed (soon to change )

umm if you've sucessfully added yourselves, then it shouldn't be a problem, i can't even add myself to the map, as there's no manual position the pin thing, and the map doesn't knwo of a Southampton in the uk, map needs redesigning anyway, so my advice is don't bother
