i agree those affects are pretty annoying, other than that you're doing pretty good, looking a bit shaky when you compress the springs, but getting there just need more practice, or maybe adjusting your bocks slightly, even tiny changes can make huge differences, but thats all trial and error really to just find something that works for you
32  Powerising / Problems / Re: i dont know what the bracket is called, sorry. on: August 18, 2008, 12:11:01 PM
the olts that attach the spring to the bracket should NOT BE OVERTIGHTENED, you should tighten them so they won't come undone but not so they crack the spring, if you can't undo them with a strong grip and some grippy gloves them they're probably edging on too tight, as the have the locknuts and the spring washers to stop them coming undone

simply put, moderately, just make sure you keep an eye on them if you've tightened them yourself or something

34  Powerising / Videos / Re: what i did to pass the time not at CB on: August 18, 2008, 12:00:17 PM
oh it was the local post office, couple of banks and a takeaway or two, plus the booze shop at the end XD
it's a little place called barnods green in the sleepy old person town of malvern

...and on the way back to grandmas afterwards i met 2 goths! (yeah they're really that rare in this part of the country)
35  Powerising / Videos / Re: what i did to pass the time not at CB on: August 18, 2008, 12:28:46 AM

36  Powerising / Videos / Re: what i did to pass the time not at CB on: August 17, 2008, 10:30:37 PM
Ha, Ha,
i like how the guy in the Astra is not confident in your abilities, and shifts his car out the way. Grin
XD yeah i noticed that while i was recording and cutting it together, he'd parked there and watched for a bit, then maybe decided to move it to avoid damage when i bounced kinda close...but then he went and hit the kerb, proves what i think about older drivers, there was also a clip of a guy casually walking past as i almost bailed and made street pizza, but i cut that out

Wow! Just wow. I'm speechless. That's the single greateste piece of filmmaking I have ever seen. You should get an Uscar for that film! Wink

a uscar, is that a car form the us? in that case no as i'd rather have a pair of powerskips Tongue

well there's not much point caring until i make a video for anything important like a competition, and i'd just forgotten to turn the lens on the camera to take it off closeup mode
39  Powerising / Problems / Re: Capital Bocking 2008 Disaster on: August 17, 2008, 07:38:07 PM
the 7s springs on the pro-jumps idea should sork fine, with some minor frame grinding maybe at the top, wasn't necessary for me though, and if you're doing htat you should consider getting some replacement feet from 7s aswell as they are simply put, awesome, though you may need new lower brackets depending on your PJ generation, pm me if you need help with that issue

new PJ s[rings is definately the cheapest option, but if you need to get new ones you mayaswell upgrade, apart form the springs and feet, and the bearings/bushings to a lesser extent, 7s and PJs are practically identical, and i'm yet to have any major issues on my hybrids, except maybe the bushings going but that would've happened anyway even if i didn't get new springs

i present, cupitle backing Grin

any technique tips are always appreciated, and yeah it's pretty bad filmign/editing, but i don't care
41  Powerising / Injuries / Re: Wristless in KY on: August 17, 2008, 06:39:49 PM
XD thats the way to think, afterall you only live once, so make the most of it, and you can survive with only 3 good limbs, so you can afford to lose an arm here and there
42  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: Hello from CB! on: August 17, 2008, 06:38:20 PM

44  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: Hello from CB! on: August 17, 2008, 06:12:08 PM
wow, that is some bad luck, get well soon, and just had a thought, are cuffs nicer on the knees if you land badly, as the bars can create extra pressure and cause things like hyperextension etc
45  Powerising / Modifying Powerisers / Re: calf cuffs fraying on: August 17, 2008, 06:07:39 PM
you can also make sure the nut ends of the bolts are facing outwards, that stops spring nicking quite a bit aswell, or at least did for mine
