2  Powerising / Injuries / Re: first legit fall on: Yesterday at 11:31:33 PM
hehe well congratulations on getting through the first fall unhurt, you're one of the lucky ones in that respect Cheesy
3  Powerising / Problems / Re: sods law strikes again on: Yesterday at 07:00:35 PM
XD if there were colourful ones i would've got them...even though my final aim is completely chrome bocks, only a footplate a couple of brackets and the knee padding to go now, the rest is all shiny silveryness

oh and i forgot to mention i'm liking my QR bindings i did, they're nicer but still need some adjustments to make them as comfy as my knees were...thinking of maybe geting some pit dirt kneepads but i dunno...
4  Powerising / Videos / Re: workington bocking on: Yesterday at 04:52:16 PM
meh it's a tad dusty for bocking...and the usual crowds etc etc
5  Powerising / Problems / Re: sods law strikes again on: Yesterday at 04:51:36 PM
the hardware store didn't have any hex bolts, just phillips bolts...but ah well it works...and it's pretty so shush you
6  Powerising / Problems / sods law strikes again on: Yesterday at 03:08:47 PM
well it's been raining hard the past few days so i was extra eager to get out and bock today as it's relatively dry, got to the town centre and started bocking, literally 20 seconds later something falls off, turns out i sheared off on of the bolts on the lower bracket.  Went to the local hardware store, and they are gods, managed to get hold of enough bolts to redo both stilts brackets, as if ones broken the rest are likely to go soon anyways, and they're also kinda bent out of shape.  and also managed to get new nylon locknuts aswell which was good, so replaced them all, and once i've eaten i'll go test whether it happens again, think it was due to overtightening where the bracket attaches to the hoof, if it was wonky there it would've put extra strain on said bolt.  or it could just be the gods of bocking don't like people putting 7s springs on PJ frames or something.

pictures down there VV couldn't work out how to embed them using the attach function
7  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: New stilts in sight.. on: Yesterday at 11:43:04 AM
by the looks of it they're pretty solid, but the joint at the front of the footplate, where the bar to the spring connects, is that  rivet of some kind, as personally i'd prefer a nut and bolt style thing incase it came loose or anything

and with no metal part on the bottom of the spring is it possible that the spring can twist if a jump was landed badly?
8  Powerising / Videos / workington bocking on: September 02, 2008, 11:07:57 PM
well i'm up north like so here's my addition to todays pile of videos

oh and no lyndsey can't hold a camera steady to save all the kittens in the world
9  Powerising / Problems / Re: springs. on: September 02, 2008, 11:04:13 PM
also 7s springs on other stilts (risers and FL ones i know of) may require some minor frame grindage, but nothing too hard
10  Powerising / Videos / Re: new spring on: September 02, 2008, 12:29:10 PM
why only change one spring?
11  Powerising / Learning Tips / Re: Age gap on: September 02, 2008, 10:17:22 AM

12  Powerising / Practising / Re: Rope skipping? on: August 29, 2008, 02:15:25 PM
umm i was gonna try skipping on bocks sometime but i guess you just beat me to it, and the danger is if you catch the hooves and continue swinging your arms round hard, if you hold the rope loose enough to let go if it gets caught then it should be ok.

...and if by double dutch you meant the thingie with the 2 ropes or whatever, should be possible, but you'd need the ends of the rope high enough and have it long enough to make the gap in the middle bigger
13  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: stilts wholesaler on: August 19, 2008, 11:05:40 PM
XD cruise control, and yeah thats the problem of starting any business, personally i'd go with the cheapest stilts i could find, well apart from skyrunners, but whatever you go with, have you checked to see if anyone is interested in the area, it's a nice idea but the demand for bocks is going to vary greatly between jersey and somewhere like cardiff, where it's a lot more well known
14  Everything Else / General Talk / Re: Capital Bocking Cardiff - Photos and video links on: August 19, 2008, 11:02:39 PM
probably rapidshare, though the captcha number thingy is horribly impossible to get right and it sucks, there's also places like fileshack and a couple of others...can';t remember the names off the top of my head though

15  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: does anyone knows any wholesalers of stilts in europe on: August 19, 2008, 10:14:16 PM
well i think all the chinese stilts come out hte factory, and some are stamped with each label, as far as anyone knows all pro-jumps are made in the one chinese factory along with all the other random brands...and i i reckon pro-jump have them in shipments of thousands at a time, and get them insanely cheap anyway as they're a product of communist china or something like that
