i'm back in manc now, with my risers that have tape on both springs now, rather than 1 spring with tape on and half of the other...
bit short notice to meet up today (need to sort out my room) but will be up for meeting up another time (not in the next two weeks tho, cos i HAVE to revise for exams)

also, i was at the bus stop on oxford road by the palace theatre/revs last night and saw someone on bocks wearing a white hoodie, anyone know who it was??

i found that the road is drier compared to the path.
not that i was running along the road when there weren't any cars... :S

i got the little brother out on my risers today, walking up and down the road. he managed to walk on his own in about 15 mins Smiley
he seemed amazed that people give you funny looks. but we were called 'cool' by a 10 year old who was walking past us, which is quite a compliment when in essex!

slight problem in that i have no idea where the nearest b&q/homebase is.
but may go into town at somepoint and try to find a shop that sells hockey stuff, and see if they have anything.

ebay doesn't have any either, at least, not that can be shipped to the uk.
and homebase/b&q don't sell purple tape according to their websites either...

but you can get purple duck tape, just not in the uk it seems.

i think i may have annoyed most of my uni friends from raving slightly too much about the weekend...

but it was sooooo awesome Smiley
9  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / purple tape on: November 27, 2007, 04:59:26 PM
i really want some purple tape for my bocks.
but they don't sell any in the uk!!!!  Angry

and if i wanted to buy it from the US, the shipping cost would cost about 4 times as much as the tape!!!!!!!

has anyone found anywhere that sells purple tape in the uk that won't break the bank??

thankies.

*rant over now*
10  Everything Else / Powerising Stories / Re: Bocking in the 02 Arena on: November 22, 2007, 11:49:25 PM
excited??
i'm actually petrified.
its been raining pretty much constantly for the last week so i haven't had a chance to practise, so confidence levels whilst bocking are possibly at an all time low. and lots iof people will be watching me if/when i fall over.
11  Everything Else / Powerising Stories / Re: Bocking in the 02 Arena on: November 12, 2007, 04:48:41 PM
cool beans
it keeps raining up here, so i haven't been able to get out that much...
but i may have a half respectable star jump by then.

but i can run now!
12  Everything Else / General Talk / Re: It's a lonlely life as a Bocker... on: November 08, 2007, 03:08:37 PM
its raining up here in manc. so no bocking for me today to avoid doing uni work...
dammit.
13  Powerising / UK / Re: Manchester??? on: October 29, 2007, 09:20:54 PM
actually there are 3 of us.
2 at manc uni and 1 who is now back in essex. so get your facts straight!! Huh
14  Everything Else / General Talk / Re: Holla - Clocks go BACK an hour today on: October 28, 2007, 10:11:30 PM
i think i had the best extra hour sleep ever.
and my phone and laptop are so clever they change the time themselves!
15  Powerising / UK / Re: Manchester??? on: October 28, 2007, 10:06:07 PM
i'm always up for a meet in manc, cos fran and i tend not to get on too well after more than an hour in each other's company if no-one else is there!
its reading week this week... so if its dry and i'm bored of work i will be out and about attempting to make my jumping look at bit better. running around halls last sunday was fun tho!

so just shout anytime that you're free. i think i'm actually around next weekend...
