ill make it simple for him. he said 10 flips not 10 backflips.

Yep, bet that's where he missed it.  First flip is a front brani.  Im  a tumbling judge and I still have to make sure I've counted the front transition to backward skills when I count total number of skills to calculate the difficulty score.

...as for getting your money back, good luck, call paypal see if they can help you out, prolly shouldn't have waited this long.
He's about on schedule to start asking around, not late.   4 to 6 weeks is the typical lead time most mail order places ask you to wait.  Shipments usually come before that but that time span helps them thru back logs etc.

Not so old, old timer here.  I'm 46 or is that 45.....??  I got lost on what my age was way back at 26 (or was that 25?)  I think it was a course in Statistics while in graduate school that got my mind all numberically messed up.

Think you can use other brand springs in different manufacturers Bocks.

Thus, something to consider... I have SkyRunners.  They work just fine.  My springs are to heavy for me though.  They are for 198lb person (90kg) and I only weight 150lb.

There is a Dealer here in South TX now.  If you want order a pair from him and have them shipped to me here in North TX.  I'll swap out the springs to heavy ones for you and then ship then on to you up North in Canada.

I can pitch in some funds for the swap and save you a few dimes.
156  Powerising / Practising / Re: Learning tricks w/ "Fireman's Blanket" as the safety Mat on: June 06, 2008, 03:38:05 AM
so is it Firman or Fireman?
"Fireman",  thanks for pointing it out. I've fixed it.
157  Powerising / Practising / Learning tricks w/ "Fireman's Blanket" as the safety Mat on: June 05, 2008, 07:01:24 PM
Firman's Blanket training

Basically you bounce on/upto a HEAVY STRONG blanket like say a recycled and reworked trampoline bed laying on the ground and when you fly in the air to do a skill the blanket is lifted and held like a Fireman's blanket used to cach folk jumping out of a building.

This is simular to the slide a mat method that was mentioned HERE.  It is VERY old school and not used much but might be worth considering.

.....Your freinds all surrounding it hold onto well sewn in handles.
.....Athlete bounces ontop of it to gain height for skill to be thrown (or bounces up to it)
.....Athlete begins exicution of skill
.....When athtlete's stilts leave the ground the friends lift the blanket staying just below the  athlete
.....When athlete looks to be landing poorly they friends stop the blankets upward travel and hold SOLID for a moment
.....As Athlete crashes into the blanket the holders struggle to keep from dropping the blanket, the resulting reality is they will cushion the landing of the athlete as they are forced into lowering the blanket toward the ground as slow as they can muster.
.....With practice the catchers will learn how to slow the decent of the athlete to the ground rather it be landing properly or not.

I recomend practice with this method doing simple things like just jump and catch on feet, jump and catch on seat, jump and catch on back etc etc.   First w/out Bocks and then later with.

Can also do this with a mat if it has sufficent handles

Mat slide in works well for stationary skills like a back flip done from a bounce in place.  Traveling skills, IMHEO just adjust your runup, bounce up and take off point to match where the mat is.  NO slide in method needed.

The slide in brought up an old idea though.  A Firemans Net type mat.  Started a thread about it HERE.

looking at it from a different persepective,

There is not many Bockers in the world.  Having lots of different places to gather and discuss the sport only further fragments it.   It is not good to fragment something that is allready small in numbers.

Here is an example.

You see something about Bocks and they intrest you.  You go to the Library and look it up.  You find all you ever wanted to know about Bocks in that Library and you go buy some, or fix yours, or go out and  trick better,  etc etc. cause of the great info you found in the Library.

ok,  Different person same senario.   They go to a different library, they search in the library..... find some stuff, find material that says... "go to library over at JJ street  for more info"  So you go there...... and get more info.  Some stuff says "go to KK Library on KK street for more info"  so you go there..... get more info... etc etc...    After awhile you start to go hmmmmmm.... this not so cool after all.

If we were talking about websites whose subject was 4wd Toyota truks..... well their are thousands upon thousands of enthusiast who enjoy recreation with Toytoa 4wd trucks,  hundreds of websites pop up for them.... and with a thousand each participants they quickly end up with the same information in each one just packaged differently.  And wow... thats GREAT but thats not whats going on here.   This is a small (but growing) group and if it fragments.... it wont help the cause of gathering information like sample above and it will fragment people.

just my .02.  Have been thru this before with Unimog discussion groups that I help run.  As a moderator I wont even allow folk to advertise, pimp, discuss any "new" unimog "discussion and pic" sites in the forum.   The few established ones is enough and any more will bring harm to the group as a whole.

I have no problems with my sky runners except I got the wrong spring weight and do not compress them well.

they are holding up fine.

If the facts are right, that's the best write up on the history of things  I've seen yet, THANK YOU.

And thank you for not getting into subject things evaluations.

Devils Advocate responce on the gay thing.  My sis is a lesbian, just saying that as a reference.

Have no problem with gay lifestyle, it's not for me.... in the long run IMHO its not good for society but oh well.... there is worse things out there BUT.... I am rather tired of it being so flaunted.  You cant look anywhere with out it being in the forfront some how.  Its all over the TV, in ads, in comedy sketches..... its just over saturated and its getting really old.

Gay and Lesbians I feel have shot themselves in the foot when it comes to getting rights and respect via the oversaturation of the topic.  Its grating on peoples nerves now.
165  Powerising / Injuries / Re: Minor Knee injury... Hopefully on: May 30, 2008, 02:54:40 AM
...Also I don't have any drawer movement, or unusual tibial shifting when i bent my knee.  So that means my ACL is intact at least. ...
Are you trying to test drawer movment  and the other tibial shift yourself?  Real hard thing to do on yourself.  Kinda impossible IMHO.

Get another Pre-Med to compare your two knee's movments, or better yet an orthapod. at the Uni. or maybe the Uni's big sport athletic trainer to check it for you.
