An update with some good and bad news.

Due to other issues in the look North Area (football promotion/relegation mainly) the TV company have now pulled out of attending.

If it had been a slow News day we would have had no problem. I knew this could happen but it still makes me dissapointed .

I have though been able to negotiate with the Leisure centre for them to accept the cost of staging the event (£120+VAT) with no TV coverage.

I would however like to suggest that we all pay agoodwill gesture to the leisure centre of £2.00 each.

It is my hope that those of you who have committed to attending and also those who have expressed an interest in attending still are turning up as I am sure it will still be a good day and we will be able to make new friendships and get some great video of our own.

I have to post the safety stuff and ensure that you are all aware of what best practice looks like. If you are over 18 you can make your own decisions. If you choose not to wear protective gear then I am not liable for any of your injuries.

Trust me people who tell  they are my best friends get very legal when a major injury occurs. This is particularly so with parents.

With regards to those under 18 legally i am in loco parentis when you are at the site so i will ask you to wear protective gear.

However, there will be crash mats & a black sort of padded jigsaw type floor we can use so will will probably not be the problem we are making it out to be

Those of you under 18 please can you PM me with an e mail address as I need your parents to sign a medical consent form

Talk about dippy

The issue with hooves and covering them has been rectified in other ways but if you are using any form of sock or hoofies please continue to use them

well done on all fronts, could see the progressive development of the split kicks.  you can get down and get up easily which is always a bonus.

Totally agree with all that has been posted.

This is  also a cultural divide, for a very long time China has reverse engineered product ideas from the technologically advanced western nations. She has done this because the chinese system has not been ideologically capable nor fiscally able to fund new product development.

Because this way of taking others ideas and copying them is so ingrained in the culture and has also been very profitable I unfortunately can see no qucik fix. There are no penalties that are worthwhile that would change the mind set. You only have to look at the copies of CD`s DVD`s etc that originally were made in China to see this. The same goes for clothes.
42  Powerising / Practising / Re: how old is the oldist person you have seen bocking? on: March 11, 2008, 08:39:53 AM
Seems to be a question that is asked regularly. I know of three people regularly bocking in thier late 40`s early 50`s. This includes me but I am not going to mention anyone else (modesty prevents)

All I will say is age is a state of mind that can govern the body

The UK Bocking community has a very wide age range and from my experience welcomes all people regardless of age or ability in a positive way

Meeting others is the best way to get better.  You will get lots of support and advice as well as have a good laugh.

45  Powerising / UK / Lincoln Indoor TV Event on: March 06, 2008, 08:08:43 AM
Following the recent Lincoln Indoor meeting

Both BBC Look North & BBC East Midlands want to feature Bocking on future News programs.

I have negotiated the use of the North Hykeham Leisure Centre for a whole day on the 19th April from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm for a nominal charge.

Obviously I need a reasonable turn out of bockers of all abilities to attend to showcase the sport.

Please register your interest by sending me a personal message on the projump forum website or an e mail with your e mail address & phone contact number

This is open to all bockers using any brand of power stilt

As it is all day numbers should not be an issue.
