We have a gym meet this weekend, actually going to be our largest one yet and it promises to have an amazing turn out from all over the home counties. We also personally invite the JJ's to come visit us! Time: 4pm-7pm Location: Black Lion Sports Centre - Gillingham, Kent We even have someone coming from Chicago USA for this  , and it will be his first ever PowerBocking meet/gym session. Ok well first, appologies for my absense, had stuff going on that took priority in my life, but I am back.
Details on this months meet, honourary meet for our newest member MightyDBlok in his home town:
Time: 11:00am - til whenever people choose to dispurse.
Place: Sheerness, meeting at Sheerness Station then travelling into the town.
Attending: Min 5 Bockers.

It isnt me ET. They are threatening to never speak to me again, I have a mortgage, so I am totally independant of them. Sadly, my parents never have hollow threats. And they are deadly serious.
I will never mention any of my life plans to them again over this. I am severely irrated that my mother has put my in such a cruel position just because she wants to never worry about me.
I am sure you understand, that someone as totally independant as me, this has seriously f*cked me off. I am someone who will ALWAYS stand up to my parents. And do what I want to do. But, having them threaten me with disownership, has put me in a real corner.

That's just plain ridiculous!! Why on earth would your mother disown you for going on a foreign holiday? Is she going through some kind of crisis or depression. I personally would make a stand because if you give in to her whims now she will forever make you do as she pleases. It's your decision but dont make it out of guilt or emotional blackmail. It should be about whats right for you, your needs, your wants. Your right ET, spot on, this is exactly why I am angry about it. I am still severely battling with just going and not bloody telling them. Screw em, my life. Its just I need to make a definate choice, as I know the consiquences could potentially be massive. They are always using emotional blackmail (without being aware of what they are doing). But I have already said to myself that this is MY year, and I will be doing tons of stuff for ME, on my OWN. Good to know you all see that this is proving a problem, and not me being a wuss with the parents. I HATE it when I see people who are blatently old enough to run their own lives, still living at home and doing what mummy and daddy tell them, yet still moaning about it. However, I have my own place, so its kinda like 'You WHAT!?!? What the hell!?' Still, they have now, sadly, made this a hard decision for me to make. -Carma (The Bocking Rocker) |
