Great vid, good music. It's nice to see people doing other things (up and down stairs, etc.) and not jsut a whole video of strictly flips... Well done.
Honestly, the way I learned it was by holding onto a pole and just jumping up and down and useing my arms to pull myself up higher so that when I came back down, it compressed teh springs more.
It could just be that your springs aren't borken in all teh way yet because you haven't been able to compress them...
A lot of people I knwo don't agree wiht the pole idea because it "teaches bad form", but everyone of my friends that I've helped get up and about said it helped them out a lot.
When I travled with mine, I just had a huge suitcase, put down a layer of clothes, wrapped my bocks, put them in diagonally, and then put more clothes over that... they made it home fine.
I really thinks it is based on how much you bottom your springs out. I had two weight classes above my weight, and as soon as I started bottomoning them out, I got the next size up, and it helped tremednously. I am a big boy though, 190 lbs, so it might differ with heavier weights what with all the physics and such.
Hey guys, I've been working with the guys from Air-Trekkers for the past few months, and I've been making them some videos. You should all go up and see the new site, because it's a great improvement over thier old one.
This is the basic tricks video I did for them about a month ago. I didn't post it because I wasn't sure Air-Trekkers wanted me to put it out yet, but now that the new site is up, I figured what the heck, why not?
Again, these are on old, crappy stilts... not Air-Trekkers...
i think i'll have to move on to usuing the MDF wood someone told me. Apparently it doesnt look as good but its great help.
I wouldn't use MDF... It's a heavy and fairly brittle material. I would go with somethign made out of one peice, so if you're gunna use wood, a 2x4 or 2x6 made out of hard wood would probably be your best bet.
Bought from thier site and thier customer service blows hard...
If you're looking for new feet, got to getjumpingstilts.com, they are way cheaper and a higher quality than the powerjumperz.com hoofs.
I had to flame them with e-mails just to get a new buckle for my bindings... then when I asked for new feet, they said they'd give them to me for a discount... $5 off! Lame...
