hi and welcome Olly. Wanna be more specific re Norfolk? Cos suprisingly it is a centre of bocking activity. No, seriously . Meets are regularly held in Norwich and there is a local club, the EA Bockers, who pride themselves on being the most disorganised in the country --bless um

The Royal Mail is not a private company. It is indeed still publicly owned and holds the Royal Warrent. There are still laws like 'willfully witholding or delaying the queens mail' . They often date back to the period when you could still be hanged for stealing a sheep. The penalties too, are old style heavt. A postman, stealing ( and its v rare) say £100 from a special delivery letter, if caught could expect 6 months. Thin what other crimes could get that sort of clink?! So Jake this bike you nicked, was there mail on it? Cos if so and charges are pressed --it could be serious. But , what concernce me , if there is. Is that the postie may get into trouble for not looking after the mail, again a very serious disaplinary offence! even if it was you wot took the bike. But lastly, I cant for the life of me imagine what 'fun' there was to be had on a Royal Mail bike. Indeed you need not have nicked one, just come down here Id gladly have let you have a go on mine --providing you delivered a few of the letters too

Maybe some one form the previous year is a member of the following years team. somat like that.
Yes nice that its all non sponsored. But Id say dont get 'too hung up on that'. sponsorship isnt a 'dirty word' per say. I wouldnt want anyone in the future to paint themselves intoa corner and have a great idea , but which needs some finance so lets it go.
This is only the 2nd year and I dont think we can say there is a 'tradition' or 'set way' yet.
I am , very happy its a free grass roots thing I must say. But I just thought it reasonable to chuck the above in

Well hi and welcome For what its worth I say 'if it aint broke, dont fix it'. Legality not withstanding, if the skyrunners are working for you --stay with um till they stop working. All makes have had problems in the past and have worked to over come them. Im glad to see you think skyrunners quality seems OK on latest version. tho another recent report said otherwise ( dunno vintage of the stilts tho). As for other models, can you get to Capital Bocking in Cardiff next month? even if just for 1 day --communications between Newbury and thre are pretty good I think. You should be able to try out all the models there. Whils a fair few peeps wouls like to finally 'get there feet on' some deaded skyrunners --which would seem a reasonable trade off

Never said there wasnt, as for 'obession' could call it a habit, default affectation. Just as Private eye refers to sex as 'ugandan discussions'

but thats it DK be imaginative.. the place or the people or the activity must be special. Tho I think its the people that are most important in the style of ' if you build it ...they will come'.

Nah ya can get close to catherdral in |Winch' but the place does not have a great deal to offer bockingwise, tho communications is quite good ( on M3 and good link to M4 and mainline from Waterloo). Has a hat fair tho ( was last weekend).
What is the capital of IoW btw? Indeed does the I of Dogs have a capital?
