A pix would help. and top bottom? Do u mean wrist and above and wrist and below?

From my limited xperience of falling over ( only cos i dont push myself)  u want a big' load of energy spreading' stiffness at the heel ' of your palm  and a stiff wrist.  fingers  r far more bendy  so a top stiff wouldnt b as important

un if u r worried about lookin un cool ----get some 'BLOODY BIG MITTENS'  to cover them up Grin

get a ticket to 'pokesdown' it is 1 station behond bournemouth station ( but is still in bournemouth town).  However  you will return from Bournemouth station , so if u get a return to pokesdown all will be fine.

Ill try un work out how to do that.  I only worked 4 an IT training company 4 17 years. We never used um  just told 'other peeps how to use um'

Its kinda why i have sort of have a  detached attitude to things and seldom take anything seriously  but chip in with the occasional useful insite. My randomness isnt random ---it has been planned and rehersed

pass on sympathies to the team

What a rollercoaster fr them in still t didnt come together.

But powerising  is pretty dramatic and 'very cheap'  and if the BBC has noticed the team  there is a pretty god chance they wll use them

IPrice has alot to do with things and bocking 'looks ' really difficult. There is with all 'crazy/extreme' sports a long lead time . I remember borrowing a friends mountain bike ( well actually his girlfriends whilst she was away so we could go to epping forest un she wasnt to be told) , a Gary Fisher cost £500 in 1984! Look how manyMTB's there r now and the price. Kite surfing is where windsurfing was 25-30 years ago  and no one is learning windsurfing now  its all kite.

If a good intro 'riser is on the market for not much more than £150 by the summer then therewill be a big expansion. How big? I cant see it being likie BMX or sk8 boarding  but like in line sk8s yep no reason. Un hey after seeing powerisers  wot kid would seriously want a pair of heelies?

Thought it might be a good idea to set up a new thread for the next meet for ease of navigation.

Well I did a dry run of my proposed route today ( b4 the snow comes along 2nite). But before go into the detail on that score may I tell you of a couple of things that occured during my journey.

In the past there has been talk of going into various shops on risers. Well now a chip shop can be ticked off, also bocking with a bag of chips. However, whilst in the chippy 1 of the ladies behind the counter piped up with ' Ooo 1 of my son's friends has got some of those'!!!!!!! From the short conversation that then ensued I gather they are PoweriSers ( she mentioned £250) and that the guy had become a bit disallutioned cos therewas noone else around with them. I left her with the words 'jurassisjumpers.co.uk ringing in here ears ( sorry Matt but it is easier to remember --and if he does contact us we will turn him into P'pages.com). This is the mistery person I have mentioned in the past so with luck he will email us.

Right back to the route. ( Thundrah  can you give me some feedback as you know  the area too)

Ive worked on the plan of 21/2-3hours   similar to Dorchester.

1/ ( for those arriving by train or foot/riser) arrive at 'Pokesdown' station, meet and greet ( if you r driving we can discuss that later). Times to be filled in l8er once you tell me the times of tain(s)

2/ warm up bock ( bout 10 min) to the local skate park. On a Saturday this will be busy  but  it is a v good pllace to do 'stuff' and show off. Stay up to an hour. Ive had a trial bouncearound there the last to days ( any1 want to bring a spray can  - so we can do a tag Grin)

3/ Bock to Bournemouth Pier. This will take us thru a street market, an enclosed shopping centre, past the above mentioned chip shop, through 1 of bournemouths many gardens ( in this case the newly refurbished boscombe lower gardens), along the sea ront. Should take 45 min.

4/ Bournemouth pier, several 'raised areas' here to jump on and off and aslo nice big open area. This is next to the main 'Bournemouth gardens' which includes 'the stream' for any who fancy they r good at long jump. At the other end of the gardens is Bournemouth Square and all the shops. I though light refreshment in the Starbucks inside the Boarders bookshop would be in order here . It is up a flight of stars so you have the option of bocking up or 'bock-off' and hoof up.  30ishmins between pier an starbucks seems about right ( not lengh of walk  just time to spend here).

5/ 20 min walk back to 'bournemouth' railway station. Yes, a different railway station.

Please post comments. I hope it doesnt seem too regimented. If you prefer to 'freestyle' it and just see what happens just say.

leaf mould  i think is the really sneaky stuff.  Whilst most everywhere has dried up after a rain shower, little clumps will stay  vv wet and normally in the shade   -- just waiting grrr

3613  Purchasing Powerisers / Where to Buy / Re: not available in UK, poweriser knee things on: February 06, 2007, 09:03:39 PM
hey  slow down ollie,  its is quite legal for esco to send us stuff.  what im saying is the idea that it is illleagal for us in the UK to buy something, via the internet, in germany ourselves  is quite bogus. the EU stands for ' the free exchange of goods'

And thankyou esco  4 offering by the way Shocked)

years ago  me un a m8 hitched in2 walse  un headed for aberwystwyth ( mainly cos my sister then bf now hubby was a student there un we would get a warm bath un a roof over our heads) . entered a 3-1 welsh to english speaking house hold. And i have to say they were v nice un welcoming  as soon as me or my m8 entered the room they switch from welsh to english.  But we did come acropper  we went off 1 day to go to porth merrion  ( where they made the prisoner). WE were sure we were hea,ded in the right direction  cos the signs kept pointing the right way ----we later found out   it was welsh  for 'foot path'
3615  Purchasing Powerisers / Where to Buy / Re: not available in UK, poweriser knee things on: February 06, 2007, 07:47:12 PM
its not a case of upsetting individuals. Im talking a general point of law. The european Union stands for the 'free exchange of goods, services and ideas'   you cant have something 4 sale in germany  that it is illeagal to buy  or export to the UK. There may be legitimate commercial reasons 4 acting in some way  but that is not above the law.

Some1 tell me different?!
