I think we should say Camelot but have a rethink after this years  Smiley
Sorted  Grin

MCTom suggested this too. I like the idea. Lets say Camelot is Tintagel ---then we just find the nearest beach  and chill.

Failing that --Douglas ---capital of I of man Grin

Oh and Greg  re London. There was a brief exchange of posts on the 'other site'. dunno how big it will be, but there could well be a London meet a month or so after CB. Jelly is up for putting it together and finding a route. I suspect it will be in the style of a tour around a few sites , whilst taking in a few good bock spots.  A poor substitute --but I hope it will be a crumb of help
32  Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: Difference Between 7 League S Rex-X and S Rex-R on: July 11, 2008, 03:06:53 PM
hi m4' and welcome.  ell Im an oner of S rex  x  ( and T rex as well) . The two companies are totally seperate. But I have prchased of both companies and indeed have shared a drink ( or erm about 7 in one case  Grin) with the pople behind both companies and the are both fine. Diff between the bindings? Just 1 is mat black one shiny silver --so basically just cosmetic.

Ive obviously used both type of knee bar. I am finding a bit of a problem with the wideness of the S rex and will be looking into getting some extra padding ( insulating piping has been mentioned above). Ive also found that when wearing shorts ( ie most of the times) the buckle on the knee strap digs in rather painfully so. The easiest and cheapest ( tho maybe not most stlish) way to counter this is just to cut the end of a sox and haul it up till it covers the tender bit of flesh.

On the subject of straps. You may have noticed ( on the 7's site) or in photos people using extra straps around the knee. This really helps and makes you feel more secure and 'as one' with your stilts. There are a couple of makes about, or improvise with some car roof rack webbing straps.

And yep where are you --there are probably peeps near you. And check out Captial Bocking next month --its the place to be  what ever one's ability.

ooobut be warned  if you wear these whilst wearing shorts in public.  It will look like you  have been doubly 'electronically tagged' and area real menance to society

38  Powerising / Modifying Powerisers / Re: T-rex springs on PJ's on: July 10, 2008, 09:09:01 PM
yep  OK if Ido that tom'?   and at worse I can always lend you a pair of stilts for a bit .

As Isaid the powerisers are just slightly dismantled ( ohand minus 2 nuts and bolts --Murdie 'borrowed' them  when we met in soton   way back)

soz Im just in from bocking and alarmis set for 0400  so Imded beat at mo

Money isnt the issue. what Iwant to do is basically keep thestilts itact. so that a  they can be used  b  there is always a sourse for emergancy spare parts within the JJ's.  But wants a bitis 'gone' its 'gone'  if you see
39  Powerising / Modifying Powerisers / Re: T-rex springs on PJ's on: July 10, 2008, 08:51:42 PM

41  Powerising / Problems / Re: Skyrunner quality we like.... NOT! on: July 09, 2008, 07:31:33 PM
Im just suprised we keep getting pix like this.  1 would have hoped that skyrunners would be improving build quality and QA.

I mean every brand has had problems , big or small, but have worked to correct them. It just mystifies me, when you consider manufacturing cost v sale price. It really doesnt need many pennies spent to stop this sort of thing. We hadnt heard much skyrunner bashing in ags. Id hoped they had raised their game

tuff 1 joe
43  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: Hoofs Estimated Life on: July 09, 2008, 04:53:39 PM
I think I said 50p an hour BEFORE spending money. And that cost would be 324-32 on hooves depending on model
44  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: Hoofs Estimated Life on: July 09, 2008, 04:05:49 PM
200-400 hours d'oh.  If you are just bocking in the 'free' outdoors and dont travel then Id say bocking should cost around 50p an hour up to the '1st' serious maintnance --typically hooves.

PJ hooves are I think £24 7's £32. If I was jogging I reccon Id spend more on running shoes
45  Powerising / Problems / Re: Squeaky squeaky squeak on: July 09, 2008, 03:06:17 PM
