What I would advice ( and for every1) is to take a few things to prevent/limit chaffing. Came home to me tonite as i tried my new stilts. Im going to take a couple of hankies and small foam blocks to push in place if I find bindings or straps start rubbing. A spare pair of sox would do ALSO WARNING FOR THE YOUNG AND PRETTY be aware you may get 'hit apon', please take it in the spirit it will be ment --and consider it a complement Tho obviously DK and Jason will need to be very heavilly gusseted -and may even need minders

Well as for lasting. For £120 Id say your old pair have done pretty good.
As for how long 7's will last. Its still rather too early to say. Ive had mine just over a year, Ive warn out a pair of hoofs, I could do with a bit of maintenance but springs are fine. OK I can regularly bottom them out now --but thats cos Ive got better. Ive used them quite a fair bit too.
But yes, if you are still bocking after a year and want to progress go for 7's
Where abouts are you btw? maybe some1 with a pair near you

might b me next to jelly
It's me next to jelly No ET was the picture not poster I was talking bout OK weather update. after 1600 a tiny amount of rain --0.9mm over a 6 hour period forecast --effectively nowt --will evaporate before can amount to anything. But it does look like bing a hot and muggy day --lots of cloud and temp peaking at 23 degrees!! So slowly and steadily take on water throughout and dont carry much
