Only the 1 flip Matt. But the day was prob a lil over long. We agreed an 1130 start ( and I was on bocks about 1030). As a last min thought I 'phoned the sports centre next to the railway station and they had a slot at 1600 we went with it. But was a hot day  and we were all a lil too tired to do much ( and me as you can see nothing -d'oh)

K   you may want to do a lil bit of training and prep. A few of us did 10Km earlier in the year. Remember each stilt 4Kg+  that is a real drag after 5-6 Km especially if it is  quite warm. Make sure you have no rubbing on your bindings and particularly on knee bars ( Ive rubbed my shins raw before --and i think there are a few nasty pix of others who have done the same

looked good. You seemed to get the oppertunity to talk freely and give the right messages ( and you seemed to be talking well, I did a bit and most was edited away and the commentator did a voice over and I Locky says he was rubbish last week {that hasnt been broadcast yet}).

Was good that you got the guy up and running. He was clearly horrified at the whole idea at the start. Lets be frank --he wasnt the youngest or fittest person they could have given you. So full marks --and thats without comments on the flips Grin

OOO and nice to see the guy promoting that great english dish   'fish and chips'

thanks noodle. I think it was prob a little too long ( i tried to get the gym earlier - but we learn). Dare I ask if you have a bump the other end?

Lare took a bail right in the centre of a busy shopping square. And unlike many of the chaps here  made not a murmur and got str8 up again. So well done there.

Also, and possibly a lil nearer for you , im not too sure. Locky, who is 7 league wales normally lets people have a try out regularly in the Cardiff bay new development area. I was there last weekend  and  few peeps tried for the 1st time and  a couple were really good and running and jumping in mins.

There is a guy on this site who is trying to arrange a meet in Oxford ( 2nd sept I think). SOmat hex is his name here. He might be a good person to chat to.  He would def  like some company bocking

Mike to add just a bit to what XS said. PoweriZer pros/upwings/basically the new model are the only ones sold with carbon fibre springs ( and they are black/charcoal in colour). However, it is possible to 'obtain'  the springs seperatly as replacements for worn out glass fibre springs. This is what seems to have happened here.

Lidor, I back up Sprog on the issue of CF strength. CF is stronger than GF. But strength is not all that is needed in a spring, there has to be some 'give and take' in the flexing when jumping. At the moment there are some issues with some springs being too stiff and therefor liable to cracking.

Now the CF issues may well be licked ( well will have to be cos a great deal of money will have been invested) and all that arrive on the market are OK now. I will say that CF is not sold by UK retailers and I gather isnt going to be until they are satisfied. But it is sold in other countries and some are seeping into the UK. I certainly know of brackages in Germany, Austria ( well an Austrian in Sweden at the time) USA as well as UK.

But just to even things up a lil -- I had 2 bits brake on 1 of my 7's today  Grin. 1 cosmetic, the other is the horizontal bar under the footplate that attaches to the stabaliser rods --sheared off  Cry
