Wow. Now I understand why small children scream "Mommy Mommy look at that man!" when I'm out bocking. Stupid me, I thought they were impressed with my jumps.

After explaining to one woman that I was only doing this for fun and exercise, she continued to press that I must be "in training for something". So then I just told her that I really couldn't talk about it because if the Olympic Committee ever found out I would be banned from the games.

I've had two bad knees for 30+ years and have had numerous surgeries to regain stability in both. I would not recommend using powerisers with a knee that dislocates. If your knee were to dislocate while jumping, the force on the dislocated joint could be disastrous and tear many of the ligaments -- especially since the equipment attaches to a point just below your knee. If your knee has a tendency to dislocate, it sounds as though you already have some loose ligament issues. As stated by others, I feel the only way you might be able to participate in this sport is by wearing a professional grade custom fit knee brace designed for your specific condition -- not something off the shelf. Sorry for the negative opinion, but I've been there. Having a bad knee really bites.

I have recently aquired a piece of Star Wars trivia. When my dad passed away, I inherited an old camera of his -- a Graflex Peacemaker Speed Graphic, which was the best camera available for professional photographers in the 1950s. Turns out Steven Spielberg use the flash unit tube from this type of camera for Luke Skywalker's lightsaber handle. Here's a photo of the flash unit. I'm feelin' The Force.

im kind of shocked at the 'chinglish' comment made too....
Offended at the word "Chinglish"? That's CHInese + e NGLISH -- the language used by manufacturers who are too cheap to hire a person who can correctly write extremely important instructions in english. Would you prefer "Korenglish?" It isn't directed at a nationality, just the cheap Chinese and Korean manufacturers who put $$$ ahead of buyer safety. But it is interesting that you find no offense in calling others stupid who may make mistakes as a result of bad instructions.

Well, it just shows you that, because the sport is so foreign to people, it is important to have correctly worded instructions included in the box -- not the half-baked Chinglish that is usually included. I haven't seen the instructions that come with the Upwings but, if past Chinese and Korean instructions are any indication, I can hardly fault the user for not fully understanding how to use them.

If the springs were undeliverable and ALAN Sportartikel got them back, you may owe them for the money spent to ship the springs to a bad address, but you should be able to get a $1000 credit back and not owe that money. Have you spoken to them?

Can't get the video for some reason. Just a blank white square. Oops.. now I got it. Looks great Henry. But no one can appreciate the height and awesomeness of the layout flips without seeing them live. I was one of the lucky ones.
