Purchasing Powerisers / Where to Buy / Re: Ordering 7meilenstiefel (7 league boots)

Sorry to disagree, Dan. But that is not how it works. I own 2 U.S. patents and am very familiar with the process. China cannot sell to anyone in a patent protected country, period. U.S. Patent Law even prohibits China from sending an acrobatic team over to the U.S. to perform using Alexander Bock's product without a licensing agreement with him. Who would stop them? Well, the patent owner would have to do it by obtaining a court order via a lawsuit. But that is how strict U.S. patent law is. Unfortunately, the burden of protecting and enforcing a patent is on the inventor with the help of the U.S. courts.
Another example would be if I invented a beverage cart and Korean Airlines started using it on their planes. In order for them to land those planes in the United States and use those beverage carts in the U.S., they would have to pay me a royalty. If they didn't, little ol' me could bring a lawsuit against them and prevent Korean Airlines from landing any plane at U.S. airports if it uses that beverage cart onboard.
Just meant as an FYI.

Just a note to clarify...
ALAN is the powerskip company run by Alexander Bock. Also, it is true that his patent does not apply to China (as well as many other countrieis like Korea) where his patent has not been filed. However, these countries still cannot legally sell/ship the product to other countries such as the U.S. or the U.K. where the patent is in force -- despite China's claim to have their own bogus worldwide patent covering the device.

Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: *The Bockers Joke Thread*

A family was camping in the Australia outback wilderness, when their 2 year-old son wandered off into the bush. After several weeks, the search parties were called off and the family returned home, broken hearted. Twenty years later, the now young adult came wandering out of the bush and was eventually reunited with his family, who helped him find a job and re-enter society. The civilized world was new to him and he got great pleasure in buying the latest gadgets that he would see on the Internet. Naturally, he bought a set of powerisers as soon as he saw them. One evening, the young man found himself in a local tavern, where he met a young woman who took a keen interest in him. "Can I buy you a drink?" she asked the shy gent. He replied, "Well, I don't know much about women, but I guess it would be all right." So she bought him a drink. After talking for a short time, the woman asked him, "Would you mind giving me a ride home?" The young man replied, "Well, I don't know much about women, but I guess it would be all right." So he drove her to her apartment, at which time she asked, "Would you like to come upstairs and spend some time getting to know each other better?" The young gent replied, "Well, I don't know much about women, but I guess it would be all right." So he went upstairs with her and sat down on her living room sofa. The woman then asked him if he would mind if she left him alone for a minute so she could go into the bedroom and change into something more comfortable for the rest of the evening. The young lad replied, "Well, I don't know much about women, but I guess it would be all right." While changing, the woman suddenly heard a terrible thrashing and crashing going on in the living room, so she ran out of the bedroom - only to find the young man, half naked, on powerisers, and in the process of breaking up her furniture and tossing it out of the window. "MY GOD! ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND!!? WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!!!", the woman screamed -- to which the young man replied.. "Well, I don't know much about women, but if they're anything like kangaroos, we're going to need a lot of room." Bill C.

Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: READ THIS FIRST!! WHICH MODEL TO BUY

Keep in mind, no matter which brand you buy, you can swap out the springs for a different brand's replacement springs if you feel you wish to change. If you purchase powerskip replacement springs, you just need the drill the bolt holes a little in order for them to fit the other risers.
NOTE: With more and more brands entering the market, it would be smart to check with a manufacturer, first, to find out if their replacement springs will fit your model before you buy.

Powerising / Practising / Re: Knee brace height

The bone between your ankle and your knee is your shin bone (Tibia). If you watch some powerising videos or look at some photos, you can see where the knee loop is positioned on the leg.

The knee loop should be positioned at the very top of your shin, just below the knee. You can keep youself from being bruised by
wearing knee pads that are long enough to protect the top of your shin under the knee loop.
and
binding your leg firmly inside the knee loop with one of the various methods and mods for doing so.
Bock on!

Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: WHAT THE HECK IS BOCKING!!!!!

For ease of pronouncing it is referred to as "bocking", but there is more to it than that. Actually, the inventor's last name is Boëck (with the German e), but the English spelling is Bock - as it appears on his U.S. Patent.
Hopefully, that clears things up.

Powerising / Modifying Powerisers / Re: Taping the spring?

I'm not sure about the different brands. My powerisers came with a very thin rubber-like protective coating, but it really isn't enough to protect the springs from impacts. It's best to put additional layers of protection on them.
Take care of your springs. Without them, you're only human.

Just a quick note regarding an earlier post... I wasn't the one who came up with the inner tube over the spring idea -- just the tiresocks. Actually, the inner tube idea came from a guy named Ray in New York City. Great idea. The only minor downside is that you have to unbolt the spring in order to slip the rubber innertube over it. But it probably gives you the best level of spring protection. (You can find the inner tube tip on the PowerBockResources.com website).
