76  Everything Else / Anything Else Powerisers / Re: Mallorca 2008 THE REVIEW (competition, pictures, stories ...) on: April 30, 2008, 04:12:56 PM
I want to go back!!!

It was really nice to go bocking with all the people i havent seen in nearly a year, and lots of new people too!!

Beki and I had an exam Friday afternoon, so couldnt fly out until Saturday. We stayed up working on an assignment till midnight, then got up again at 3am to get our 6am flight to Palma. Our taxi driver got lost taking us to the hotel - then realise he had stopped next to it! We rebuilt our stilts and joined everyone else on the beach, which was opposite the hotel!

The Mr/Mrs Cool contest was interesting Tongue everyone had a good laugh though! I have have now decided I need to learn to handstand wearing stilts (maybe I need to learn without the stilts first though! Smiley) We then took it in turns to bounce around on the path next to the beach, and use the sand as a crashmat for flips! Smiley We all went to a BBQ in the evening where the contest results were announced and Locky thought phoning us on radio bock was a good idea, only we couldnt hear him! Listening back to it now though its quite funny! And just to clarify, I wasnt drunk - everyone else was!

Sunday we took a trip to a bay, more bocking in the sun! After missing the bus to the bay, and walking miles and waiting over an hour for the next one, we decided to stay there as long as possible and entertain the many tourists wandering around. I actually managed to jump onto a bench all by myself, Beki was doing split kicks that she had just learnt, rancher and kiola were practicing different backflips and tundraH was jumping benches and scaring the old people sitting on them! The bus arrived and we all rushed to get onto the bus before it left!

We went out for an evening bock in the dark alongside the beach, and we all swapped stilts for a bit. I had a go on a set of PoweriSer 08s with the calf cuff, and decided they arent as bad as I expected, but im not planning on swapping my knee bar! Do it on bocks, Murdie, Carlgreen and I then thought we would fix two pairs of stilts, which took us until 4.30am, so we just decided to stay up all night! Although we caved in and went to sleep 2 hours before we had to get up again for breakfast!

By Monday lots of people were heading off home Sad those of us that were left went on a glass bottom boat to go see the fish! Kiola, Q, Murdie and Rancher thought a swim off the back of the boat was a good idea, then realised quite how cold the water was! We spent the rest of the day bocking around the beach - joined by Steffen for a bit where I had another go on a set of S-rex X types, got a bit higher this time! still sticking with my Raptors though! Smiley

We sat in the bar for the evening, drinking a lot of Sangria! Not sure how many people could actually say 'Fuzzy Duck' by the end of the evening - not many!

Taxis back to the airport in the morning, and flights home Sad where we were welcomed back to England by cold and rain Sad

I have over 1000 photos on my camera, and will download and sort them over the next few days! Wish I was back bocking in the Sun though!

81  Powerising / Learning Tips / Re: My knees wont stay in my 7's! on: April 25, 2008, 12:20:02 AM
try this style of knee pad

if you strap the velcro round the frame (between the frame and the spring) it makes it even more secure
82  Everything Else / Introductions / Re: Almost ready to spring into action! on: April 25, 2008, 12:11:37 AM
Sorry if i confused the issue with the prices. I should have specified what i meant more clearly.
Dont worry bout it, quite easy for misunderstandings to happen on forums!

you already got the bocking bug zipp, lets hope your daughters do too! looking forward to seeing the photos that you take!
make sure you/your kids have wrist guards on, and preferably knee pads too!

I guess I have a bone to pick with them because the Chinese dealer companies are always stealing pictures and videos, and few things anger me more than that.
Pro-jump is an UK company and have asked permission for every photo they use (well they have always asked me!!)
The Chinese company that took all the photos, took them down upon requests from me and from Pro-jump.
Any company that uses photos from here without permission has to face me  Grin

I think you will like your projumps, a lot of the EPB are on them and have had no problems with them.

You strap your knee (knee-shin pads are good for this) and feet in securely, so it wont matter what type of shoe you use, as long as the shoe does up securely to your foot. I just use normal trainers.

we may not even like it
I think you will! Smiley

There are bockers around, try using the search function with names of places near you, see what comes up!

85  Everything Else / Website Suggestions / Re: Website Suggestion on: April 18, 2008, 09:43:28 PM
I think you will limit the number of people willing to register if you require a location. I think country/county/state etc would be ok though. Not sure about requiring an add on the map. I can see why it is a good idea, but not everyone, especially young people, will want anyone to know where they live. So much time is spent teaching young people about being safe on the internet, and making a location compulsary isnt really along the same lines Smiley

Notice I am not wearing safety equipment. Normally I am wearing a helmet, gloves and wrist supports but I forgot them on this occassion. ALWAYS WEAR YOUR LID.
Haha the most dangerous thing youve done so far and you forget the pads!

Well done with the flip though Smiley
