We used paraffin, not sure where you get it though, some friends of mine do the who fire spinning/breathing and I just borrow their poi when they want a break

Im possibly gonna go, depends on how much work I have to do!

As I dont have fluff on my powerisers, i was more worried about melting the foam round the knee bars!

We had a multi-cultural week at uni last week, and part of it was a carnival, which i walked on my powerisers. But after they allowed a small group of us to play with fire - poi, juggling, staffs, firebreathing etc.

They actually let me use fire poi whilst on my powerisers! not sure id recommend it tho - trying to stand in the same place whilst sliding round on paraffin covered concrete wasnt easy, especially when concentrating on what the fire poi were doing at the same time!

Hi, I am Becky, I'm 18, 19 at the end of January.

I am in my first year at Uni studying maths at the moment (good luck Matt its impossible!), but in the holidays I live in Essex.

In my spare time I do loads with Guides and Scouts (which is where i discovered powerisers!), trampolining, bocking, poi and juggling!

Ive had my powerisers since september, and have done 2 carnivals on them, which was fun. I am the only one at Uni with them, but at home there is a big group of us!

I do loads of trampolining. Am trying to use what ive learnt to do flips on the risers, but have found that the risers are too heavy to lift over my head! think i need some ankle weights to practice with on the trampoline!!

Some of our group (Jake and Jody, with Ellie and Mary as ground support) visited Bournemouth this weekend, and then today I had an email from my cousin, telling me that he had seen some people near his uni on powerisers and that 'they seemed rather fluent in the ways of the poweriser'.

About 160 miles from home, and still someone saw them!

I had my first fall, then about 4 hours later attempted a somersault (with help)! cos i realised it didnt hurt as much as i thought it would!
