Poi on stilts isn't so bad - as you've got so much ground clearance you can extend them really long to do some very cool tricks.  By doing this you also avoid the risk of taking a poi in the nuts, as you so elegantly put it Wink

Just for carring about, the extra strap is handy - invert one and you can tie the knee bars to the feet - the strap should be long enough to do both.  This lets you carry them both by the one spring, so much less effort than messing around with one in each hand.

As far as flying goes, I was running on the assumption that you can just pack them as sporting goods and all is well, just thought i'd see if anyone had had trouble, what with them being such strange items!

I know you can take snowboards and golfclubs onto international flights with most carriers, does anyone know if there are any specific carrier rules that might get in the way of taking some bouncies with you?  Or, indeed, has anyone tried?

Surely this is what the articulated ankle models are for - so PowerSkip Pros and the like.  Being able to use your foot to add power to your stride is specifically there to improve your running ability, no?

You coming to Reunion ant?  Do i remember correctly, did you have a new pair of 100 Pro Jumps that were as hard as rock?  I really want to try those out Smiley

Oh, and next year - Essex!  Best jamboree in england, in Stiff and Stilted's opinion Smiley

I think we had 14 pairs altogether, mostly Poweriser 50-70s and 70-90s, with a few Pro-Jump of various weights too.  Mostly the pro-jumps are team members personal pairs and the powerisers are team equipment.

We also took 10 or so pairs of DuraStilts and Savrows, but didn't use them much, 8 pairs of Unicycle branded 4ft pole stilts which we used during the opening ceremony, and a pair of 6 foot wooden poles for showing off on.

If you see anyone in an orange and yellow necker, chances are they got it from walking on our 6 foots.

We had lots of falling over, but no injuries from the participants.  We lent one of our pairs of bouncies to a friend who took a tumble on them and had to be strapped up for a few days, but other than we were all good Smiley

Beaker here of the Stiff and Stilted team - at a guess we think we were running around 600 participants a day on our ProJumps and Powerisers.  Gilwell had beautiful weather, and we only had to shut down for one afternoon because of rain, so thousands of kids - and a fair few adults too - had a play.

Happy to say that it's me on my poles behind the other guys in Becky's picture Smiley
