Got it. Works great.

Cheesy   I haven't even seen the shoot myself yet, but yeah I thought their green human transport angle was a little of a stretch -- but then after the shoot was finished, Vlad decided to run home across Manhattan, across the Brooklyn Bridge, and into Brooklyn.  Not a short distance - and in NYC traffic on a workday!!!

Suchin Pak (host) was wearing full pads/guards and hemet.  I can't recall what Graham Hill (co-host) was wearing.  We practiced for about 90 minutes in the Park, bocked to a local eatery for lunch, and then bocked around the neighborhood.  It was a really fun day.  Hopefully, I'll get to see a tape of it soon.

ah yeah you left when right at the end of the gym session when my knee hit my eye and has given me another black eye now. Tongue

Yeah, watch those recoils.  When my cousin tried a front flip on a trampoline last year, her body bent forward as she landed a little short -- which allowed her recoiling knee to bash her in the face and shatter her nose.  That was a party ender.

Too bad it doesn't support its own weight and actually walk.  The operators are just making it look like it is walking while the attached support lift vehicle behind it holds it up and moves it forward.  But it does look cool and the mechanics look quite impressive.

I understand that doubling the spring size may not double the weight it can handle, but I'm guessing two same springs next to each other will exactly double the weight handling capability.

Think about it...   If two springs together (twin springs) on one stilt are supporting 120kg, then each spring would be supporting an equal 60kg of weight.  Put a 120kg twin spring setup (60kg+60kg) on one stilt and the same on the other stilt - and I think you will have two stilts with spring properties for a 240kg individual.

But I do think there might be more of a problem when the spring reaches its weakest point in the flex at full bend.  At that point, the 4 springs might be too weak to support the weight.

Just my opinion.  I could be wrong.

The guy has a series of videos.  Haven't had time to watch them myself, but here they all are.

How does the footplate under-support attach to the spring?  Is it bolted on via holes in the spring, or is it glued?

And one additional observation and comment...  The side surfaces of frame should have the same series of circular holes as the original design to reduce weight.  Doing so would not compromise frame strength, from what I can see.
