Hi Razor.
The term started going around just this past year and seems to be spreading.
Best Powerbocking device? Hey, I'm not even close to knowing what I'm doing on these things. :o As far as quality and performance, my understanding is that the Velocity-Stilts are the best, followed by Powerskips, and then Powerisers. Not sure how the Fly Jumpers rate because they are just starting to appear here in the States.

Thanks, Matt. But you clearly are better at more complex website design than I am.
The term Powerbocking is actually the general name that is being used these days to describe this sport. There had been a discussion amongst Poweriser, Powerskip and Velocity-Stilt owners as to what we should call the activity, since "powerising" really only described a single product. But describing the sport as "jumping", "bounding", "leaping" etc. didn't fully describe the different acrobatics and running you could do with it. So the term "Bocking" or "Powerbocking" began to spread as the new universal name for the activity as a form of thanks to the German inventor of this wonderful device -- Alexander Bock. Considering his invention is now being ripped off by a number of companies not paying him royalties (some of whom we have purchased risers from), it is really the least we can do for the guy as a group and give him the recognition he deserves. You can check out his patent via the FAQ page on my PowerBock Resources website. Thanks for asking.

I generally practice in a nearby park which has a large cement area that is covered by a roof -- so I can even be out there in the rain. The area also has picnic tables, which are the perfect height to sit your butt down on when you get tired.
