32  Purchasing Powerisers / Choosing the Right Model / Re: 7 Leagues Type R vs Type X on: July 20, 2008, 08:50:51 PM
I disagree, I think the type x will be better.
If you get Type R's you will bottom them out to easily i think.

Then again I think we should wait for somebody who has used both to comment

I was in the chatroom with him for about an hour helping him decide what to choose, thinks he has made up his mind  Smiley

For someone new to the sport Pro-jumpers would be a good starting point.

Have a read through this:

Best upto date detailed comparision of stilts  Smiley

Your main choices are the PoweriSer 08's, 7leagues but these are £240 and a bit over your budget or projumps which are £135 and are a good starter stilt if your not sure your gonna get into the sport fully.

Also where abouts are you from, there may be people or groups local to you

Wooop!   Grin
Got my new T-rex's today and love them!

I can now jump off things and actually use the bounce instead of having to cushion it like on my raptors to stop them bottoming out, and can feel the extra height kicking in already.

Will try and get some photos or videos up sometime.

Thanks Matt for the competition and thanks to Trip for the prizes  Smiley
43  Powerising / Practising / Re: Yokel in Wiltshire on: July 18, 2008, 06:18:33 PM
Yeah, i totally agree with Theibault

Ditch the poles and just practise, you should pick it up quite quickly, I think your relying on your poles too much. Aslong as you got wrist and knee pads on your not really gonna hurt yourself if you fall from just walking around.

44  Everything Else / Introductions / Re: Powerskip 520s arrived: HOLY CRAP IN A BASKET! on: July 17, 2008, 10:19:32 PM
Nice buy, I myself was also watching it on ebay just to see how much it ended up going for.

And, uh, a little help here please.  The new bocks came with their original springs, but I'm not sure what weight class they are.  I would have to guess that they're 7090s, but I'm not sure.  They say either 18 or 81 on the ends, depending on how you hold them.  What does that mean?
On PoweriSers the number on the bottom is just a batch number and doesn't have anything to do with the spring weight unlike on other stilts

And my mom gets stressed easily and wanted to go home so I had to work fast.

I think your mum would get more stressed if you broke both wrists and your knee cap and she has to push you around in your wheel chair for the next 6 months
