It depends what tyres you use, my first sets were made of a tyre my Dad scavenged from somewhere and they didnt last very long at all. The new tyre i have is much better and it last at least double the time the old one did. Both of these are offroad tyres and i find the big chunky grip gets ripped of really quickly, i think road tyres may be better.

I am also very close to securing a sports hall to practice in, after being turned down by my P.E teacher about use when they have it available i decided to email the sports center who have control after school hours. The email i sent out: Hello, I'm currently own a pair of powerisers (see attached image), and i was wondering would it be possible for me to hire out a badminton court sized space in an evening and practice inside with a few crash mats for extra safety and i will also be wearing full pads, wrist, knee, elbow and a helmet, this means if i slip no damage will be done.
I look forward to a response.
Thank you Richard Grundy and the reply i got was: Richard
Yes I dont see a problem with you bookibg a court. However it may be advised that you need your own insurance. We have cover in the building but I am not sure if it covers the use of these powerisers. You will need to book and pay for this in advance so that we can prepare the area and consider set up times.
Thanks
Tristan Cooper - Centre Manager Anyone understand what he means about "However it may be advised that you need your own insurance" But its looking hopeful, will probably go have a chat with him soon about when i would like to use the hall.
