I got my powerisers from a New Zealand site (where im from) and that site is where they got them from apparantly. They are definitely legit poweriSers. I don't think you've got anything to worry about in terms of them not arriving/being legit.

I havn't got mine yet, but I am positive I will fall my first day at least once. Btw, yours are Powerisers PR7090 do you mean the 2007 model (or 2008 in europe) or classic?
Mine are the classic ones. Sounds like ill have to be particularly careful with the running then. Ive almost fallen backwards twice from trying to jump off two feet so far. Its going to take me a fair bit of practise to stand up I think, it was hard as hell when I first tried yesterday. Im definitely going to get some wristpads!

I just got my bocks the other day and when I got up in them they felt a lot higher than I thought and I don't want to fall from that height! Especially considering my "attempts" at standing up from the ground. So I was wondering if anyone has NEVER fallen on their bocks? Not counting flip attempts with mats etc. Just around the street and when you were learning and stuff.

Everything Else / Powerising Stories / Got My Powerisers Today!

My Powerisers finally arrived in the country a couple of days ago and I went to pick them up last night. I have the PR7090 ones. I was so damn excited to try them out but when I got them on I was like It was so damn hard to just stand up! I was a bit worried to be honest lol, I thought there was no way I could ever use them. I had a good place to start using them and just kept moving my feet and stuff then eventually got the hang of it. After about 50mins I can do a light jog now but cant really jump off 2 feet yet. They hurt my shins like crazy though!!! The top bit that you put your leg through and strap to just below you knee isn't very soft and it bruised my shins a bit. Has anyone else had this problem? I pretty much couldn't use them after a while because it was so sore so I tried to put more padding there but nothing worked so I just bought some shinpads (like soccer ones) and now its all good Ill make a vid soon once ive made a bit of progress. Hopefully tomorrow ill get a few good 2 foot jumps in!

Thanks for all your help guys. Just thought id let you know that I just ordered some of the PoweriSers from the better looking site. I got them for $500 instead of $549 too The guy said they will take up to a month at the most to arrive but hopefully they come soon as! I don't know how im going to survive knowing that they are coming soon! I just had my last uni exam today and when ever I got stuck in an exam all I could think about was just jumping on some bocks and bouncing out of my exam lol. Im so excited! Ill definitely post some vids up when I get them.

Yeah im not sure now. If the springs did break on the riZers id basically be screwed right? The riSers have a 1 year warranty with 6 months for the spring and pad thats in contact with the ground. They said they work through this site http://www.powerizerz.com:80/ so the warranty on there is what I would get. How come the site is poweriZerZ.com but it says they sell riSers??? Is that the main legit site for riSers? Also the pic on the NZ riZers site is the same as the one in the site above that supposedly sells riSers. They must have just taken the pic from there right? And then when the riZer guy emailed back earlier he said their latest shipment is in yellow (like on the above site in some of the pics). So could that mean that poweriZersnz.com is actually riSers??? Please help me im so confused lol!

Heres his reply:
We have sold over 1500 sets of Powerizers and only ever had one spring fail, we believe this was due a heavy person using this set but replaced the unit anyway. However if you feel uncomfortable regarding this clause unfortunately there is not much I can do for you.
Yes the promo price at the moment is $399, this hasn’t been changed on our site as this is an offer in our store but as you asked the question you will get the promo price.
Hope this helps
Im going to wait to hear from the riSers people and see what thier warranty is like.

I replied with:
Ok cool, To be honest if I got some I would be a bit worried that they aren't fully under warranty because the spring is like the main thing. What if it just randomly snapped? Ive heard of that happening. So your price is $399 right? How come it says $499 on the site? Thanks
I just want to make sure hes totally full of crap before I rule them out (even though I basically have). Ive noticed that practically none of the main people here have the riZers so I think I will go for the riSers, ive just got to try and get them to bump their price down a bit. Ill let you know what they reply with...

I got a reply from the poweriZer site when I asked if the vid (of that Tex guy) has exactly the same bocks as the ones they sell: Hi there
Yes they are extremely cool!!!!!!!!! Yes our Powerizers are exactly what you see on the videos, the only thing that may differ is the colour of the spring, our latest shipment is the coolest of the colours.......yellow.....they look awesome!!!!!!Hmmm, what should I reply with lol? If I could get them to include the foot plate and springs in the warranty for 6 months or something do you think it would be worth the $150 saving to get these rather than the riSers ($399NZ instead of $549NZ)

I recommend this Website : www.originalpowerizer.comI ordered Two Pairs last mth fast delivery and very good quality. I hope my information can help you tooo........................ That site more expensive than the ones I can get here and if they broke id be in the shyte since its not in NZ. Not buying from there. Yeah I thought it was a bit funny about the warranty too. On their website they have a vid that isn't theirs too ( http://nz.youtube.com/watch?v=R1O1YaD-Gpw). I emailed them to try and catch them out and said that the vid looks really cool and asked if the ones they sell are exactly the same in the vid. If they say yes then im definitely not getting them from there. What type of stilts are the ones in that vid anyway? ElectricStapler, the link you put up was of the advanced ones. You have to email for the prices and the Classic ones are $549NZ and the Advanced ones are $879NZ So im not really that rich lol.

Thanks guys, so one for each so far, ill see what others have to say then decide.
Keep in mind thats $NZ. $549NZ = $412US = $211UK $399NZ = $299US = $153UK
Does that sound about right for the prices where you guys are from?
The riZers have a 1 year warranty but it doesn't include the spring and foot plate bit. This is the email I got from them when I asked about the warranty:
All Powerizers come with a one year warrantee excluding the spring and foot (this is because springs are weight rated to the purchaser and if a heaver person uses the Powerizer the spring and foot can be damaged).
They can't spell warranty!

Purchasing Powerisers / Where to Buy / A Bit of Advice

Hey guys im new here and have been reading around for a few days to try and get a bit of info on all the types of stilts around. I want to buy some but im from New Zealand so its a bit harder for me to find decent ones. So far ive looked at Powerjumperz.com and they are the cheapest. Just to make sure, they are probably Skyrunners right? And Skyrunner = bad? They have different coloured frames. Ive also looked at pretty much all of the US and UK sites too but it all works out to be too expensive or they don't ship here. Then I saw this site http://www.powerizernz.com/?p=sizes which says they are PoweriZers (which are not as good as PoweriSers right?) and it says they are $499 but I emailed them and asked if they were cheaper now and they said they have a special promo and now they are $399 even though it says $499 on their site so im not so sure about that. And then theres this site http://burn.net.nz/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=84&products_id=216 which are $549. I emailed them and asked if the frames come in different colours (because I read somewhere that some places say they have PoweriSers but they are acutually Skyrunners) and they said they are only in the colour pictured and also they told me that they are the proper PoweriSers, not riZers. I feel way better about this site, they seem more legit. But they are more expensive. So basically I just wanted to know if you guys think that from looking at both of those two sites (the riSers and riZers) that they are not going to be crap and what you would suggest I get. I would WAY rather pay $399 than $549. Is there much difference between the two? I know the riZers are the knockoff ones but is there really much difference in the jumping height etc?
