I can't wait to test the X-Rex's.  I'll do a full writeup as soon as my set comes too!

I'm totally green, 100% new to this powerbocking business, but am deeply intrigued.

I've decided to buy a pair, and after a lot of reading through the forums, I'm still somewhat confused.
I'm in the UK and the cheapest I've found is PoweriZers at £130 or PoweriSers at around £200.

Are the PoweriZers really that bad?  I'm trying to work out whether it's really worth forking out an extra £70 for a brand name when I'm a total beginner Huh (not gonna be backflipping anytime soon!).

I take it second hand is a really bad plan?

As an aside, anyone in or around Glasgow that does powerbocking?

If you have a small budget then Projumps are very good for your first stilts, they have improved a lot over the last year or so and now seem to be a very good affordable stilt.

Might be worth sending an email to this guy he was last online    "April 14, 2008, 09:40:07 PM" so he should be too hard to contact:

Definately RiSers, probably 2005 model as that's the '05 box.

You can tell from the fact the riSers have tan coloured hooves (no other brand has this), and the poweriSer box Cheesy

wrong!

as far as i know PoweriSers don't come with a manual, mine didn't.  I know there's a new German version and they're in the process of translating it into English.  And I know Projump wrote a new manual, i think other FL brands may be doing the same but that depends on the brand.

PoweriZer

PoweriSer

Fly Jumper

note these are all from 2006 so may have changed slightly since then, but not much

this is a pic of the 2008 poweriSer pro from skate hut, @ £200, delivered just last week.
The calf strap is quite comfy, but i have never used a pair with a knee bar to compare.

ProJump junior on left, PoweriSers on right. (just in case) Wink

The deal with PoweriSers that cost 200 pounds is that those are the new, improved model.  They come with calf cuffs and snowboard bindings, and I think their construction is sturdier too.  Very nice bocks, I have a pair and love them.  Except for Skyrunners and the Up-Wing/Redoxx/Airrunner model, you get what you pay for.  Get them for cheap, and you have some OK bocks.  Pay a ridiculous price, and you will get some ridiculously awesome bocks.

If you can find the old Poweriser model, it's worth checking out.  A bit more expensive than FL bocks, but probably worth it if the difference is under fifteen pounds.

I've got one with mine. It came in the white box, not that colorful one. It's put in there by the Korean company that makes them.
