hello
I'm in the market for a set of jumping stilts but there are loads of different makes models. I have read about quality and league 7s look the best quality for the price (s-rex model). what guys do you think as owners?
also it makes sense to get the boots rated for a heavyer user for strength and durability. I'd be using them mainly for running and don't want to be replacing parts regularly. so which are best?
thanks Smiley Smiley

at 70kg dont go for s-rexs, they will be too stiff for u unless u have perfect tecnique which take a lot of time to develop.  you would be beter off going with t-rexs at your weight.

also, i'm quite good when it comes to learning balance related stuff (time to blow my trumpet!) i can stand on a swiss ball easy and im into parkour and trampolens, i'd hate to buy something i'd have to replace, are we talking months or years to develop perfect teqnique? not undermining what is obviously a highly skilled activity.

iit could take anywhere between a couple months and a couple years, it greatly depends on the user.  at 70 kg i think that s-rexs will be too much even if u have good balance.

It can?!

The average appears to be
10-30 mins to be walking unaided
1-2 hours and you'll be jogging
3-4 hours to start jumping

I would say buy what you can afford. Any brand are good for learning on, don't go all out and immediately buy the most expensive "cheap" stilts on the market as you may find you won't enjoy it. Pro-Jumps sell for £135 and are fairly good quality. PoweriSer sell for around £170-200 depending on if they are the normal or 2007 model. 7Leagues sell between £240 and £260 depending on what mods you buy them with.

Also, where abouts do you live? There may be a group local to you who are willing to let you try a pair to decide if you like them.

I took about 15 hours of use before I was comfortable running, bottoming them out, and starting to stunt comfortably, but it was spread out over all last winter.  If I had gotten them during a better time for bocking, my muscles and skill would have developed faster.  If you're into trampoline and parkour, that will accelerate your learning curve too.

By the way, the calf cuffs on the Poweriser Advanced are really nice.

Check out the map (www.PoweriserPages.com/map) and check if there's anyone local, I'm not sure of any groups local to you but there may well be a few individuals Smiley
