Hello all,

Recently I have been working on the website to make it be able to support users who speak languages other than English. Currently PoweriserPages is also available in Swedish ( www.PoweriserPages.se ) and German ( www.PoweriserPages.de ).

This is largely thanks to  `esco and Zackiz who did the German and Swedish translations  respectively.

You can edit your first language in your profile preferences.

There you can also edit which languages you would like to view topics in. When posting topics they must be flagged as in a certain language. Topics tagged as in languages you have not selected in your profile preferences will be hidden as you browse the forums.

At the moment the forum does not have very many German or Swedish posts in them. So if you can speak either, then it would be very much appreciated if you could post a topic or two in the language you know in order to start building the community for that language.

If you know neither German nor Swedish, then setting your preferences to ignore those languages will make sure that they are hidden, and there will be no noticeable difference.

Again, many thanks are due to `esco and Zackiz.

Any questions about this new feature I'll be happy to answer,

Matt

Hurray for Matt and credit to esco and emil for the translations.

Yeah the bug that there used to be is now fixed.
It was that when you saved changes to your Forum Profile, your languages reverted to none so that all topics were being hidden from you. Now that shouldn't happen.

Could you make it so that you can set a default language when posting a new topic?
I get really annoyed at forgetting and then having to select ENGLISH just to post a new thread.

Excellent work to all 3 of you, this makes it even more of an internation community, and should tempt more german and swedish-speaking bockers to join up! Smiley

Ok Locky, now when you post a new topic, your first language is selected as default in the language drop-down box.
Nice idea

Well done must be hard work in one language let alone 3

Shame that there is'nt such a thing as a universal translator program that way we could all join in in our own language yet still hear the German/Swedish point of view as well
