Terms we chatted about tonight. We being Kitemark, Becky, Lukey, Sarah, Jake and Adrenalinejunkieluke. In addition to the above, we've come up with the following terms;
Bail - Verb: See
Grounding + sheer lack of class, proper loosing it and just giving in to gravity. Blood + grazing optional.
Beams - as in: "

groundingBocking - Verb: Person(s) who partake in the
Bocking Phenomenon
Bottom Out - Verb: When so much downforce has been produced from
Slamming that the base of the foot hits the underside of the footplate. This results in the impact being transferred most often to the lower spine which really hurts.
Chav - See
WankerZGnarly - Expression: Old surfer term for something really good, cool, hip, down wid' it, great, excellent etc etc
Grounding - Verb: When you
bail but not too severely, little to no impact, a generic stacking. This is most often a controlled fall.
Grounded - Verb: When a
bocker has sufficient support to stand without having to shift their center of gravity. Essential for mid-
bocking maintenance or when at the
Mark™.
Ground Support - Noun: Person(s) who volunteer to walk with
Bockers ready to assist where possible, be it carrying water or other essentials, WD40* and crowd control if necessary.
*= Other lubricants are available.
Mark™ - Move: Created and implemented by KiteMark (thus the ™) , this is the act of stopping for a scheduled pint halfway through a
bocking session. This is recommended for both social and health benifits (health to an extent).
Example: "Wheres the Mark tonight?", "The Red Lion has a high ceiling"Powerising- Verb: The act of doing something totally
gnarly just for the sheer hell of it. Having the guts to try something new and just play full out for yourself, other
bockers and the general public all for the shared goal of creating happiness and joy with oneanother.
Rising - Noun: Abbreviated version of Powerising synonymous with
BockingSlam - Verb: To jump and produce downforce by forcing your landing into your heels resulting in an increased vertical movement.
Example: "You've got to f'king slam it, Becky!"Street Pizza - Verb: See
Grounding +
Bail and amplify 10 fold. Street Pizza happens when someone takes a real severe fall and falls awkwardly causing severe damage to his/herself and risers resulting in immediate blood loss. This will require medical attention,
ground support and other
bockers stop everything to help out.
Tantrum™ - Move: Invented by Lukey (thus the ™) from
PoweriserPages.com, this is the high speed repetitive jumping and flailing of arms that resembles the
bocker throwing a
Tantrum™Ooop ooop™ - Expression: Developed over time by AdrenalineJunkieLuke (thus the ™) - Believed to have evolved from the Essex mating call this is a brief & high pitched signal generated by an excited
bocker. Also used as an abbreviated form of
gnarly.
WankerZ - Noun: Youth who exhibits signs of
jealousy in a negative form rather than doing the right thing and asking questions and showing a positive interest. These
WankerZ can be in pairs up to small groups, sometimes on bicycles and will not hesitate to hurl abuse and taunts. Synonymous with
Chavs.
Bocker TypesSlight twist on the dictionary but we came up with these, please add as necessary:
Becky-type: Really keen to do everything and anything
Sarah-type: Voice of reason, but
not a spoilsport
Mark-type: Likes a beer mid-way and is handy with tools
Jake-type: Trys hard to do everything but just holds back a touch
Luke-type: "Permitted to have as many near misses as you like" - most likely to order a Street Pizza!
Lukey-type: Obsessive + technician, wants to know how it all works & how to improve techniques
James-type: "I want to, but..."
