If you grab the back of a skateboard its a tailgrab BUT if you grab the back of a snowboard then its a stalefish... i think. Anyway, point is just because its a trampoline move or a gymnastics thing it still deserves a new name.  i was wondering how much poweriser slang has turned up. or if anyone wants to make any up.

Protection of springs is blatently called armour. even of its a bit of tape...

Falling on your face is a Daddy and falling on your back is a Mummy... dont know if thats skater slang but i heard it a few times for PRing... hehe daddy backflip.

Two feet going forward is Roo jumping. Makes sense.

Hacked up tyre protecting foot is a Sock.

Anyone got more?

I use the term 'hoof' to describe the foot pad. The bit the 'sock' goes over. A few  ers have adopted the term.

I've never heard that. It's a strange term for falling over lol...
I call falling over a "wipeout" (like used in surfing and skateboarding), and I've seen this used to describe falling over on PR's quite a bit.

360's, 180's and stuff are pretty obvious.
Any changes to the risers are "mods"
Using risers is known as "Bocking", or "PowerBocking", named after the inventor, Mr. Bock
The piece your foot goes on is the "Footplate"
The pieces that hold your feet in are "Bindings"

Um, I don't know what else to put!

I saw the heel grab trick described as 'the back scratcher' somewhere, I thought it was a good name for it.

Terms we chatted about tonight. We being Kitemark, Becky, Lukey, Sarah, Jake and Adrenalinejunkieluke. In addition to the above, we've come up with the following terms;

Bail - Verb: See Grounding + sheer lack of class, proper loosing it and just giving in to gravity. Blood + grazing optional.

Beams - as in: "Dont cross the".... the result of this can result in grounding

Bocking - Verb: Person(s) who partake in the Bocking Phenomenon

Bottom Out - Verb: When so much downforce has been produced from Slamming that the base of the foot hits the underside of the footplate. This results in the impact being transferred most often to the lower spine which really hurts.

Chav - See WankerZ

Gnarly - Expression: Old surfer term for something really good, cool, hip, down wid' it, great, excellent etc etc

Grounding - Verb: When you bail but not too severely, little to no impact, a generic stacking. This is most often a controlled fall.

Grounded - Verb: When a bocker has sufficient support to stand without having to shift their center of gravity. Essential for mid-bocking maintenance or when at the Mark™.

Ground Support - Noun: Person(s) who volunteer to walk with Bockers ready to assist where possible, be it carrying water or other essentials, WD40* and crowd control if necessary.
*= Other lubricants are available.

Mark™ - Move: Created and implemented by KiteMark (thus the ™) , this is the act of stopping for a scheduled pint halfway through a bocking session. This is recommended for both social and health benifits (health to an extent).
Example: "Wheres the Mark tonight?", "The Red Lion has a high ceiling"

Powerising- Verb: The act of doing something totally gnarly just for the sheer hell of it. Having the guts to try something new and just play full out for yourself, other bockers and the general public all for the shared goal of creating happiness and joy with oneanother.

Rising - Noun: Abbreviated version of Powerising synonymous with Bocking

Slam - Verb: To jump and produce downforce by forcing your landing into your heels resulting in an increased vertical movement.
Example: "You've got to f'king slam it, Becky!"

Street Pizza - Verb: See Grounding + Bail and amplify 10 fold. Street Pizza happens when someone takes a real severe fall and falls awkwardly causing severe damage to his/herself and risers resulting in immediate blood loss. This will require medical attention, ground support and other bockers stop everything to help out.

Tantrum™ - Move: Invented by Lukey (thus the ™) from PoweriserPages.com, this is the high speed repetitive jumping and flailing of arms that resembles the bocker throwing a Tantrum™

Ooop ooop™ - Expression: Developed over time by AdrenalineJunkieLuke (thus the ™) - Believed to have evolved from the Essex mating call this is a brief & high pitched signal generated by an excited bocker. Also used as an abbreviated form of gnarly.

WankerZ - Noun: Youth who exhibits signs of jealousy in a negative form rather than doing the right thing and asking questions and showing a positive interest. These WankerZ can be in pairs up to small groups, sometimes on bicycles and will not hesitate to hurl abuse and taunts. Synonymous with Chavs.

Bocker Types
Slight twist on the dictionary but we came up with these, please add as necessary:

Becky-type: Really keen to do everything and anything
Sarah-type: Voice of reason, but not a spoilsport
Mark-type: Likes a beer mid-way and is handy with tools
Jake-type: Trys hard to do everything but just holds back a touch
Luke-type: "Permitted to have as many near misses as you like" - most likely to order a Street Pizza!
Lukey-type: Obsessive + technician, wants to know how it all works & how to improve techniques
James-type: "I want to, but..."

A bit tongue in cheek but hey, we want to be in the dictionary! Get in early!

Would there be any objection to me starting to compile this dictionary as a webpage? I'd be happy to give the html code to Matt afterwards if he wants to include it on the site, otherwise I can just host it myself.

Good idea, if you give me what you've done- I'll host it and find a place for it on the site.
