Possibly as one of the last sensational news in 2007 let us introduce "Poweriser-Challenge & Friends 2008". All detailed information can be found under http://www.powerisers.de/en/challenge-friends-2008/

Short overview:
International bocker meeting
Poweriser Challenge & Friends Party
Challenge & Friends lottery - 1st prize one weekend in New York - 2nd prize one ABike - 3rd prize one Ipod nano

Numerous new official world records gonna be set
  • Most people on jumping stilts at the same place
  • Most backflips in one minute
  • Rope skipping on Jumping stilts
  • New short track world records (100m & 400m)

All jumping stilt owners are invited - not only Poweriser bockers. The whole event's gonna be a charity event - all profit made will be given to our charity partner which will be announced soon...

We would like to ask all of you to register as soon as possible especially the ones who might need to book hotels, cause during that weekend there are several exhibitions round our area here and most hotels will be taken if you book few days in advance only. Also pretty cheap flights are now available by easyjet, ryanair and similar airlines if they are booked soon enough. The destination airport will be Basel / Mulhouse which is located just 10 km away from the event.

Should anybody have any ideas, questions, wishes etc... just let us know...

Special thanks to all sponsors and people who helped to plan and to make this event happen in advance.

Happy New (bocking) Year Everyone!!! Seeya all in Germany in April 2008...

Just looking into this event and I see its 55euros to come (£40).

What exactly are we paying for here? I appreciate its a huge event with lots going on but I also see you have some pretty big sponsors listed on the site.

If this was free or about one quarter of the price then I think all of the Welsh Bockers would attend and we'd obviously have to pay our own transport costs etc but when the event is likely to cost as much as the travelling then it makes me question the whole thing.

Thats a good point! Its that much!? As soon as I saw red Bull, I seriously thought it would be pretty cheap. Thats too much, how much did Aubria cost?

It would be more worth while if they didnt have the raffle, and/or gave away decent freebies, (wrist pads or something)

If you look, the 55€ covers:
T-shirt, cap, entry voucher for exhibition and main events, breakfast and dinner, transport costs and a lottery ticket

So quite a bit, but still £40 is a LOT of money for that Lips Sealed

How will it cover transport costs?? Transport from where? Thats where I am confused.

And by the way, its actually a fair price if you get all that included.

Id guess  from the Basel/mulhouse  airport  10Km away. Is vague  as peeps will not be staying in same places. Cant see that people will be picked up and dropped off all over the town.

So could just mean 1 organiser just driving back and forth in a mini bus 4 a morning  and sunday afternoon.  Could mean a prepaid ticket for standard airport bus in and out of town.

Dear all,

To bring some light into the darkness see information below:

reg costs: as sprog wrote already included in the participatience fees are the following things: T-shirt, baseball cap, entry voucher for exhibition and main events, breakfast and dinner, transport costs and a lottery ticket.

reg transportation costs: all transportation costs from the airport to the train station and to the exhibition (approx 10-12 EUR) have to be covered on your own. When arriving at the exhibition area everybody will get the voucher to the exhibition for free which is also valid to use trains and busses as much as you want to go from the exhibition to the event area and back to the exhibition as well as driving train and bus for free in the whole area which covers a radius of approx 20 km round the exhibition.

In general the costs are just to cover the expenses on our side and not to make any profit for ourselves at all, cause 100% of the profit will be given to the charity organization, which will be used for numerous projects for children. We guess that everybody has to sleep and to eat anyway so if you just calculate dinner and breakfast costs + something to drink + the entrance fees to the exhibition (which also includes the free bus & train ticket) and entrance fees to the main event on Satruday evening it'll cost at least 35,- EUR already without getting the additional things mentioned above.

reg additional activities during daytime: sure we can arrange that if you want but due tot he fact that you will have approx. 8 hours to meet up with each other and to have some fun on the exhibition and in the park before the main event on satruday evening starts, which means there is not that much free time to do lots of additional things in our opinion. What would be easy to arrange is a bowling center within the exhibition area or a paintball center pretty close the the event area. All of you interested in that please let us know and we are going to arrange that.

More questions/sugesstions? Just let us know...

with best greetz from Germany

I am a little confused about the transport costs, as surely, everyone will prefer to Bock around to a from places within the complex?

That is a very good question....all we need is a perfectly reasonable answer

The other question is why have they got such a sh1t name for a major event?...... dont worry that's rhetorical. I already know why
