In the www.PowerBockResources.com FAQs, I caution people to wear safety equipment while bocking and to not to do anything stupid.  Participating in other sports is just as dangerous if you happen to be an idiot.  I have a new example of what I mean, and just couldn't wait to share it with you.

Basically a lesson in mass, gravity, friction, inertia and...  oh yes...  pain.  Turn up your sound.

I must also add, know your own personal limits.... because what I might be able to do with ease, could possibly hurt someone else greatly due to lack of practice or ability.

u know, after i saw that this morning i started to think....

how do you get to a point in thinking that doing that is actually a GOOD idea???

i mean if a friend were to say "hey try this", id be looking at it and going through my head how it can be done.......but this??? im wondering how he could have thought that he could have pulled it off..

things to think about:

-its easily 10 feet high
-your landing on flat asphalt
-u would think that if he actually pulled it off, it seems that he would have wanted to go backwards after he landed, (since he did a half twist in the air)........but where was he gonna get the momentem to go backwards.
-ummmm asphalt + height + rollerblades + gravity = ouch ouch to the knees, back, ankles.

just some random thoughts, (i think tooo much) Grin

is it something like kinda trendy, cool thing to do.
In Europe in some places among the teenangers is very faddy/trendy now to make  movie (mobile/cell phone) of brutality/greatly stupid things (similar to that one) and pass them on.
it's madness

re: Video:

Yeah that guy was an idiot. I'm all for trying new things yes, i mean I bought some powerisers didnt I? But jumping from your fricking roof?? Thats hard to do on its own but adding Rollerblades to it? Not gonna happen.

Its like a few guys at work were saying yesterday, just because you have extra jump/spring on Powerisers doiesnt mean you have magical abilty to do flips etc - do it static and at ground level / trampoline, then MAYBE do it on Risers.

That Blader guy lacked common sence. That said, we dont know if he landed it statically beforehand or wether it was straight to blades.

Re: Mobile Videos,
Its the human morbid curiosity we all have that makes us want to share these bizaare videos. Its like a carcrash on the Freeway - "you gotta peek". Personally I dont have any rough footage on my phone, its doesnt entertain me. You need to be of "a certain mindset" to have that on your phone.

Um, you feel good that you are able to report it to the police, thus helping to make the world a better place?

lol the police?!?!

two weeks ago my friend was broken into while he was at home, he called the police and they said he was a liar and they hung up.

so the guy forced him out of the house...

police... please...

i don't feel safe and i live right next to a police station. their average response time is 26 hours around my parts..no joke.

i wouldn't report anything, because it would end up with more hassle for me, i'd probably have to make statements or something stupid...

Wow!  How depressing.

God bless America.  Here, if someone breaks in, we just shoot them.    Wink   Recently, two fellows in Canada broke into a guy's house and he shot at them.  They drove to the police and made a complaint and the homeowner is being charged with assault with a deadly weapon!
