i have a pair of PR7090 but think i need to replace the springs, firstly how often do you need to replace them and can i get a pair of PR90120 springs and use them in the 70 frames or would this cause problems? cheers joe

springs prob last almost forever. unless you like landing on one foot. xD

Probably last around for a few years to come. I wouldn't pre-buy extra springs. since they're pretty pricey too.

Also, why do you need to replace the springs? did you break them?

and yes, the springs are interchangeable and you can install them yourself easily ( i think )

I don't know about the "many years" lifespan. Of course it all depends how often you use them (daily, once a week, once a fortnight...). Judging by comments being made on the French Poweriser users forum, it seems they last anything from 2 months to a year. Hard users are not getting much mileage out of them and often complain that riser springs are long overdue a redesign.

So you're thinking along the lines of PR90120 springs or S-REX Pro's?

Probably a good choice but there's another thread about this that was quite active yesterday and XarnuSonci had some interesting things to say. I would try to find that first because if you are too light you are going to find the 90120's rather stiff. S-Rex springs are a different matter however, I appreciate they are more expensive.

All 7 Leagues springs are softer for the first 3rd of the spring which translates into ease of use and more comfort. Once they flex beyond the 30% mark they get much stiffer resulting in plenty of energy return. You get fantastic rebound with much less effort. Most of the UK fanatics here use 7's and many of them started out on Powerisers.

If I was you I would check out the prices of the 90120 springs and the S-Rex's and then decide if you can go to the extra because one thing is certain, if you use S-Rex springs you will never regret it!

Yes, that is indeed rather strange. I'm not allowed to supply you due to the patent so please contact Manni at info@7leagueslondon.co.uk and ask him if he can get you a pair? He should be able to because they are definitely in the catalogue. Incidentally, there's only one kind of S-Rex spring now. The versions you saw were the 2008 models. The 2009's are known as the Pro Energy's.

Hi Joe,
all the springs will fit in the same frame. Just if your Risers are older or newer types, you would have to replace the washers at the footlever connection. This is due to changements in thicknes of materials and yes, it sucks.
