Well was messing around looking for things to do to my bocks with the remainder of my webbing, and noticed the support plate on my 7's never really gave any support at all! the horror! my calf touches it but theres no real pressure there.

So i took off the plate and wrapped the webbing around once, then made a few folds in the webbing at the front of the plate to make a pad, finally wrapped around again and secured it with a bar clamp. viola! support!

Hope this helps someone else out there who has...wierd legs? i dunno  Tongue

The real point in the calf pad is that it doesn't touch your leg as such. It's really there incase the velcro at the back of your leg comes undone, it stops your leg smashing into the metal frame, instead it smashes into a 5mm thick piece of foam.
I discovered this when I found out nobody else's calfs touched the pad, and then the velcro on my old PR5070's came undone whilst running... It wasnt fun but I was glad the pad was there!

Ahh ive misunderstood its purpose then, still im going to remove a layer or two and keep the stuff on there - its gotta be more comfortable than bashing into plastic - or indeed foam  Smiley

I was always wondering about that.....
My Velcro broke, so i had to sew it back on, multiple times.  Undecided
I really don't like that piece though, if you could REPLACE it with ONLY the webbing that would be better. I was bocking around one time and it fell off. The piece that goes around the bolt snapped off, was awful getting it back on.  Sad

You can turn the pad upside down, I know people who say it feels better that way !?
But you've got 7's so when you turn it over you'll be a learner ! LOL
