they're not meant for that kind of weight, so if he goes all out on them anything could fail, spring, frame, joints.  Just make sure he checks them out before each use for signs of stress.  Unless he's going nuts on them, they should be fine.

I'm 110Kg !?I've built a pair of 180kg to see how they workout.
I'm using them to test the idea for bigger Bocks for bigger people ( bocking is great to get/keep fit ) to join the fun of bocking.
I'm working on a new frame for bigger legs and to take bigger springs which I've be told will be made soon  Wink

The rubber will wear a lot quicker to start with.
Than over loaded spring could break unless it used to do walk about on.
The next thing to keep an eye on is the down rods and bar under the foot plate has they may break.

I glad to hear larger people want to bock  Smiley
Fusion was made for people like my brother Keith to enjoy   Sad

This is a catch 22 situation.

A fit larger person who has/is athletic (knows how to take a fall) then go for it.  If their large due to lack of fitness then Bocks and that mix are asking for injury from just a simple foot trip up or imbalance.

Here in the US that is a law suit waiting to happen.

Anyone not fit; rather it be high body fat ratio, or low muscle mass ratio etc. is not ready to be bocking in my humble educated experience.  Body weight being high or low does not matter.  Fitness level does.

Now... like you say... If Doc OK's it and proper safety aids and fall recovery training happens.... then Bock On.

Desire to get into Bocking would be a great incintive to improve fitness levels enough to be ready for Bocking  though.  A great goal to shoot for.  Maybe Mini Bocks like Kanga Jumps along the way as a sub goal?

While personal responcebility "should" come into play a lawyer is damn good at working their way around that and cleaning your bank out...  while I say that; at the same time I hate this fact that business folk even have to  consider "legal risk managament"  so strongly.

I own a pair of "Jumping-Jax's" or as you call them Kanga Jumps and the you could use them as a half way point true. Problem is they don't make a pair that big either  Undecided
Also thier not much easier to use anyway !?

DK, you made a prototype using side-by-side double springs.  How well did that work?  I'm curious.  Another possibility might be to piggy-back two springs - but they would have to just be banded together so they could slide past each other a little when flexing - like the old auto leaf springs did.  Spring issue aside, I agree probably the biggest concern is how well the actual frame and joints will stand up to that weight when a little side flex comes into play.  Could be bad.

Piggybacking two springs would be extremely stiff and prone to breaking if you ever manage to bend them at all, it seems to me.  Well, that's if they're right on top of each other; they'd be working like one monster spring with the back one entirely in tension and the front entirely in compression.  If they had a few inches between them so they can work separately, I think they'd work OK, but piggybacking them brings up a whole new set of engineering puzzles, and it seems like it would be a lot more complicated than side-by-side.

i tell ya what i would love a knee brace that is a little wider.
My knee swells after about 10 mins bocking (god knows why lol) but it does so i would love something that didnt dig in the sides of my knee when it swells.
So if anyone comes up with something lol give me a shout i would love to try it.

Side-by-side works but part of the frame needs to be reinforced ?
There does feel a small twisting action but it's not that bad and I'm sorting that out.
Piggybacking should work better and is what I'm planing to do next.
Thing is you DON'T stick the two right next to each other, you need to leave a gap.
I'm making a bigger frame which will hold two or one BIG spring.
This was the first idea I had before making them go side-by-side.
