Just as in information sort of thing its now 3 months since I did this stupidly rediculous injury and only yesterday was the first time I actually went bocking without my hand tied up (gaffered actually) to give my thumb some support incase I fell on it. Its still not 100% healed and has a little bit of swelling around the scar.

It's just a heads up really as it shows that we are all prone to injury at any time, any place. I broke my thumb falling backwards onto a crash mat with wrist guards on FFS and recently becky damaged her knee on a flip attemp and becky has been learning flips as long as I have so its not like this was her first go.
It's nice to go out on bocks and jump off 7ft walls or whatever but you also need to be careful aswell.

I just caught an MTV2 show here in the States called "Scarred" and it counts down the top 10 worst injuries (skateboard, bicycle, in-line, etc.) submitted that week.  OMG!!!!  Real bad stuff.  Accidents will still occasionally happen, but I can't stress enough to protect yourselves as much as possible from injury.

Glad to hear it's getting better Locky, I agree that accidents can really happen anywhere and at any time, it's just unlucky if it happens to you I guess Undecided

Poor little thumby.
I broke my middle finger before and I left it for 4 days just hoping it was a bruise, then I finally showed my mum and she took me to A&E and I was in a mallet splint for 6weeks lol.
Try not to get it wet if it goes in a little splint as it goes moldy, and once it mends it will still be retarded Wink LOL hope that advice motivates you
O last thing, no excuse for not bocking Tongue

EDIT: Woops didn't realise this was a 3month old post lol
