I have the advanced powerisers and it seems that you can adjust the foot plate by unscrewing the bottom lock screw and moving the top bolt up and the foot plate after it.
Has anyone done this?

It would be easier to jump if my foot wasn't so flexed up, I seem to have to be at an odd angle to get my hoof square to really get height.

Help?

The footplate should be more-or-less horizontal.  If it isn't, you should adjust it.

Not really. Adjust it to the angle that feels natural for you.
I have mine tilted upwards slightly at the front so I push down with my heels more Smiley
